For me no matter how over the top some fans get, it doesn't change my opinion about a certain actor or actress.

I feel its so unnecessary for some fans to become so horrible and intolerable when they try to defend their fave, I mean wats the point?

We don't know them personally, and they have no idea who we r so why r people fighting over them? People on this forum will argue with each other yet the stars themselves r happily getting on with their lives.

I also think its unnecessary for some fans to deliberately say something very horrible about a certain actor or actress just to hurt their fans, I mean again wats the point?

Just enjoy your faves and their work.

Another thing I hate here, is when fans are unable to tolerate criticism of their stars and in turn they start targeting you and making comments on the actors that you have up on your avatar or signature, I find that extremely sad and pathetic.

I mean, wherever I seem to go in this forum, someone will always bring up "Katrina" just because she in my signature and they want to use her as an example to elevate their argument. Funny thing is, I have no problem admitting that Katrina is a pretty bad actress lol, its just sad to see the length that some will go to.

Especially picking on members avatars/signatures, that's just a whole other level

i second u!! totally... toady i have so many damn actors i hate like hell n credits to their worshipers... i dont mind my fav getting bashed coz they r actors n yeah everyone does talks nonsense shit about them n we can nt stop all of them talking shit around the world... n we have not taken any kind of responsibility to save a actor frm getting bashed.. so let them bash as much as they want.. at the end it wont affect u or any1... haters gonna always hate... even though we fight with them they still hate.. so wats the point on boiling ur blood???

I don't understand how can we hate/dislike an actor depending on fan group. Then actors we dislike must be different if we go to twitter, pinkvilla, IF and other sites since fan groups are different there.

Well...not really. But yep it happened with few actors' fans in my case. But still I don;t hate those actors... As of personal experience, some fans comment regularly bullshit, irrelevantly and they do have their actor's siggies...If it happens too regularly, then all just happens is negativity seeing that actor's face.(But only in those cases where I've never liked the actor ever)

Too right! There's a level of bias when fans are a deciding factor in determining the liking of an actor too; ones complaining about fan group A conveniently overlook the drivel of fan group B when they crib about actor A's fans tainting the actor for them. People have decided in advance who they have a preference for and their tolerance level is tweaked according to that and also groupism comes into play here, plenty of people here ready to give their cronies support and trash the rival fan group.

And another thing I've noticed, the fans are expected to subservient here, ones who're polite even after getting insulted are liked, and also their favourite celeb by extension. I'd rather be hated than bow down to what cynics/rival fans want from a fan.

What an effing joke- ones targeting specific fan groups here are no better themselves. Clearly under some delusion that their crap smells like roses. 😆

In my case..it depends on how much you like the celeb to begin with..for example I love Saif..but some of his fans dislike and bash Bebo..I still like Saif. I find some of Vidya fans annoying too..but I still like Vidya.

some fans do effect my thinking to some extent but it's never about the actors but the fans. I might feel indifferent with some fans but I wont hate/dislike an actor cause of that..if that's happens (which never happened with me) then the truth is I never really liked that actor that much in the first place

I used to be like that. Hated the actors because of some psychotic fans but then I realized there really is no point hating someone just because their fans get on my nerves. I mean why waste so much energy and increase your blood pressure because of a few faceless people from the virtual world? 😆😆 For example, used to hate Kat a few months ago because of certain fans but then I became apathetic to her. Could care less about her now.
