Recently, Ranveer Singh was caught in a situation where he was offered a film opposite his ex-girlfriend, Anushka Sharma. That would not have necessarily been a problem since, as you know, he has already agreed to do Zoya Akhtars Dil Dhadakne Do that also stars Anushka. However, this time around, something gave him a pause. Even though the script sort of excited Ranveer and he was interested in exploring the project further, he took a step back when he read parts of the climax that involved an intense love making scene with Anushka.

At that point, Ranveer asked the writer whether they could do away with the intimate scenes. But from what I'm told, the writer questioned Ranveer, saying that if he could do kissing scenes comfortably with his girlfriend, Deepika Padukone, then what's the problem with someone who was a girlfriend at one point? This got Ranveer super angry, and he asked the writer to leave immediately.
