Shah Rukh Rebooted!

The Fan team recreated the same clothes SRK wore in his earlier films

After the first two teasers have brought in huge appreciation, it's about time that Yash Raj Films launches the first theatrical trailer for Shah Rukh Khan's Fan. And like we had already told you, Fan will have SRK in double roles- that of superstar Aryan Khanna and his fan Gaurav. While as a superstar, Aryan will mouth the same dialogues that Shah Rukh did in his previous films, Gaurav will wear the same clothes.

A source tells us "The team of Fan has researched Shah Rukh's films over the years. And the costume department has created identical clothes for Gaurav's character." He adds, "Gaurav is a lookalike of the superstar and hence is famous in his locality. His character will be seen wearing clothes that SRK wore in his earlier films." And it won't just refer to the films he's usually famous for. "People love him as Raj and Rahul but Fan doesn't just revolve around the superstardom of these characters. Instead, Maneesh has made sure he gives equal focus on his lesser remembered films too."

There's also a huge hint of the same in the second teaser which we missed. Our khabroo points out, "If you notice the checked shirt that Gaurav wears in the promo. That was the same shirt that SRK wore in Trimurti. Similarly, there will be more such references to his other films as well."

Aryan Khanna's character has been kept under wraps and will only be revealed in the trailer that is scheduled for an early February release.

I think Shahrukh has worn that shirt off screen too! Wasn't he sporting that in a really old interview with Farida Jalal? I could be wrong though too.

Shah Rukh Khan's next film Fan: Story to focus on rivalry? New plot rumours surface online

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming film, Fan, is clearly one of the most eagerly-awaited movies of the year - mainly because of its unique story idea. While it is known that the plot revolves around a fan's obsession with his favourite movie star, it is unclear whether the film has any dark undertones - like Yash Chopra's classic psycho thriller Darr.

Rumour mills are in overdrive about some key details regarding the plot of the film. Apparently the film's storyline will focus on "a rivalry between the superstar and his biggest fan," reports Business of Cinema. "It is also said that the film has an action sequence towards the end which will play a very important role in the whole scenario."

Reports indicate that SRK's character in the film, named Gaurav (who plays the diehard fan) will be seen wearing some of the actual clothes worn by the star in earlier films - like the hat and leather jacket from Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge.

Fan is expected to be a very different kind of SRK film, and judging by the promos, it definitely looks like the film could do well on the box office. In an earlier interview, Khan himself indicated that Fan is more of a novel subject and quite unlike his regular blockbuster masala films like Dilwale and Happy New Year.

"If you're looking for novelty, then you should watch out for Fan," said SRK. "It's a different kind of film, meant to be a niche... not a blockbuster."

The Bollywood star added, "Films are novel in their storytelling, unless you have a completely niche or offbeat subject, and you take a subject not touched upon". Fan opens in theatres on 15 April 2016.

SRK in Fan: SRK will be seen playing the role of a die-hard fan Gaurav who idolises his screen idol, Aryan Khanna. SRK's make-up in the movie gives him the look and feel of a very young guy right from the way his hair is parted to the skin tone of his face. The star even underwent a digital 3D face scanning to get the right look for the movie.
