Hirani to direct biopic on Sanjay Dutt, Ranbir to play Dutt. - Page 6

I would love to see a biopic of Sanjay Dutt. He's life seems troubled and interesting. But I agree, aren't biopics supposed to be made of the deceased? Lol

Ranbir would be a misfit in this film. Ranbir is a phenomenal actor but he doesn't have the look to play Sanju. And as for painting him as a victim, I suppose if you are shown something from the protagonists perspective then one would tend to feel sympathy/empathy for the indivdiual.

Regardless of what he's done. There are two sides to every story. What has he done anyway? How comes he's in prison?

They usually do that to avoid legal complications. But you can make biopics of living people with their permission. Milkha is still alive and Mary Kom biopic releasing this year.

This would be interesting! Ranbir's a great actor so I'll definitely look forward to this one if it happens!

they are sportsmen and there biopics are about their initial failures, success then achievements. With Sanjay he's biopic will be about his controversial, personal life, it would make sense to make a biopic after he dies or when he's a pensioner. Because currently he's in prison, how would the film end? Whose to know what other controversies are waiting round the corner for him.
