Yup Dushman, Gupt were iconic at that time. Especially her character in Gupt - negative role was huge for a heroine in the 90s! It was her Baazigar! I agree with your assessment.

But yes later on in career she could have done more such films but she retired so early that she came back to do a film only if it was with some Khan so she could get her blockbuster and be done with it.

Also to blame the actress for their failed comebacks is wrong...it is not that people don't have interest to see Madhuri or Kajol but if movie content sucks it won't work. EV worked because it had good content. Ultimately the script has to be good for these people since they don't have that kind of star power anymore.

i just read 16 pages of crap i dnt get why fans on this forum cnt respect each anothers views but choose to instigate fans with saying the same thing over and over again each time they comment. not all of us like the srk and kajol jodi being a kajol fan i prefer to watch her with other actors than him. not all of us think aamir khan is the god of acting bt when i watched him with kajol i appreciated him and his acting and thats 1 of my fav films of him coz he and her where so perfect together. not all of think that madz is the most beautiful woman in the world and the most amazing actress the only film i have liked(and can remem) of hers is her hit with salman and the other 1 with salman and srk. not all of us think juhi is an amazing actress some of us find that her acting is annoying. bt even so for me to take away any of their accomplishments and make it seem like their success is related to another person is wrong. srk and kajol did alot of work together bt they both worked equally hard in it their success as a couple is linked together and is not only linked to 1 person. Right nw srk is a bigger star than her coz he has done alot more movies than her. Lastly instant of variety i just want kajol to do more movies and be more out there she is the reason that i started loving bw movies so i dnt care who she is paired with although dnt want her anymore with ajay to. and as for her last film we are family for me that is acrap movie no1 could hav saved no madz judi and not even sridevi the goddess of bw could hav saved that movie coz it was so pathetic and made no sense. all i wish for is that her next movie is a real comeback and nt just a movie she is doing a movie for the sake of it and after that her next movie wil be 10 yrs later.

Is this a joke?

SRK's first hit was Deewana! After that he had another hit with Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman. He had won the Debut Award for Deewana and stole the show from Rishi Kapoor. By the time Baazigar came, SRK was already famous and an award winner. Even prior to films, SRK was a very popular TV actor. His fame and success far exceeded Kajol's.

By the time DDLJ came, SRK had already had loads of hits, a Best Debut Award, a Best Actor award, Best Villain award, and even a Critics actor award for Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naan. In Darr, he had stolen the show from Sunny Deol. Same thing that happened with Rishi earlier.

SRK had no star power when DDLJ released ... 😆

Kajol has benefitted immensely from her chemistry with SRK. Even without those movies with her, SRK would still be a super successful star. Same is not true for Kajol. Without Baazigar, KKHH, Kabhi Khushi and MNIK, she would barely have anything.

As far as aamir kajol are concern then yes even I hope she don't work with him again. Fanaa was great movie but aamir kajol pair never clicked to me.

Looks like I'm in the minority but I like Kajol. A person who can make it big in bollywood with a one eyebrow gets my support lol.

On a serious note, I think she's fab at what she does. She is a good actress, regardless of her personality off screen. On screen she's brilliant. We should understand the lines between reel and real life.

If we judged actors based on their off screen personalities then there would be about 5 actors who are deemed to be good out of the whole fraternity.

Awesome news but I hope Ajay is not in the movie with her please. I really missed watching Kajol on screen and hope this news is true
