5 things we learn from Bollywood movies

Always keep a pet: Whether you're rich or poor, girl or boy, protagonist or antagonist; the first and basic rule we learn from Bollywood movie is - always keep a pet. Not only your pet will make you realiZe you love someone, but also give the film its much needed twist. Tuffy of Hum Aapke Hain Kaun, is the ultimate example of this rule. Not only did he help in keeping the romantic element between Renuka Shahane and Mohnish Behl high but also carried Madhuri's last love letter to Salman and not to Mohnish, thus giving the film its much desired end. Salman's kabootar in Maine Pyar Kiya also carried his love message straight to Bhagyashree. Kareena's parrot in Main Prem Ki Deewani Hoon too fits this category. Bollywood moms and their basic instinct: Whether you're a wilayati nawab or a gaon ka gunda, your mother can always sniff you. In fact so strong is their sniffing power (read basic instinct) that they can give many cops a run for their money. Jaya Bachchan in K3G, is a vivid example of this category. Not just once, but the actress who plays SRK's mom in the movie, thrice gets to know that her son is somewhere around. But this is not a new formula, Nirupa Roy too has displayed such basic instinct many a times. Rakhee in Karan Arjun can also come under this category.

Don't tell her you love her: No matter how good looking you're, no matter how charming she thinks you are, no matter how much you love her; just don't ever tell her that you love her. This is the simplest and yet the strongest Bollywood movie formula which has worked for years now. Films like Rangeela, Kal Ho Na Ho etc have thrived on this. You could be as cool as Saif in Love Aaj Kal or as naive as Aamir in Rangeela, remember you can't afford to profess your love. Not only your silence helps in building the plot further but also gives the actress ample time to get close to someone else.

The man who gives his wife to her lover always wins: If you're a husband and your wife is in love with someone, the only thing you can do is take her to her beloved. Don't be shocked - as this is the only way she'll come back to you. Naseeruddin in Vo Saat Din, Ajay Devgn in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam are a perfect example of this category. Not only does she realize how good a person you are along the way but also begins to understand you, which is not possible until you take this journey with her. And this is not it - you have to continue the hunt for her beloved, because until you and the other man of her life are not in the same frame she won't be able to decide.

Don't hesitate in shaking your tooh: Whether you're in a mall or by the roadside, never hesitate in shaking your tooh (derrire). If you think you're a poor dancer start a jig in the middle of the road and don't be shocked when others start shaking their tooh with you. Not only would they know exactly what steps you've decided in your subconscious mind but would also hum the tunes alongwith you. From Anil Kapoor's 'One two Ka Four' to Salman's 'Jai Ho', people around these stars just seem to have read their minds. One of these impromptu jigs might gain a cult status too like Salman's towel dance in 'Jawaani Fir Na Aaye'.
