Actress Kajol, who has given several hit films in company of superstar Shah Rukh Khan, thinks Ranbir Kapoor scores higher than her long-time good and also Aamir Khan in terms of acting capabilities.

In an upcoming episode of popular TV chat show 'Koffee with Karan', the host, filmmaker Karan Johar, asks Kajol to rank - talent and acting ability wise - Shah Rukh, Salman Khan, Aamir, Ranbir and Hrithik in order of preference.

The 'Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge' actress was quick to crown Ranbir, the junior-most among them, as No 1, though the two have not yet shared screen space. "On the top I would say Ranbir...I think he is fantastic. On second position Shah Rukh and Aamir are on par with each other...there is no up or down in that. Then we come to Salman and so on."

To another question, Kajol said she would like to ask the Bollywood badshah about his frankness in airing his views. "Why are you so candid all the time? Don't you know people like to hear nice...pretty lies once in a while."

From her cousin-actress Rani Mukerji, Kajol wants to know when is the 'Bunty Aur Babli' star getting married, a query she would pose to producer-director Aditya Chopra too. Reports of Rani-Aditya marriage had been doing the round since quite sometime. The 39-year-old "Fanaa" star yearns to spend more time with actor-husband Ajay Devgn. "I don't get enough time with him. I would really like to take him out for a romantic date."

Kajol, who dominated Bollywood in 1990s along with Madhuri Dixit, said she is extremely choosy about doing films. "It (the script) has to be good. I don't want to work with someone who is not going to bring out the best in me.

I don't want to work with somebody who is going to depend on me to do the 90 per cent of the work." In the episode to be aired on March 16 on Star World, the bubbly and outspoken actress will be seen with her director-cousin Ayan Mukherji

Because Ranbir is a brilliant actor who has done really good work in a very short span of time..I have no idea what to say to people who think he only has Barfi cos i think he was as brilliant if not better in Rockstar..Not to forget WUS, Rocket Singh and Rajneeti..Compare that to what SRK, Salman or Akshay have done the last three years and you'l get your answer..HR is good but i believe he hams at times and Aamir is good but he is way too mechanical on a lot of occasions..This is strictly my opinion😆 So, IMO, Ranbir is the better and more natural actor..The fact that he is successful helps i guess..The very same people who ranked him on top might secretly cheer when the guy fails😆

I don't think he is as good as he is made to be. He is hyped.

He gives the same expressions again and again. If someone exchanges the characters in his movies you won't even feel it.

looking at the perfomances:

Bachna aaye hasino, anjaana anjani, yeh jawaani hai deewani, besharam were below average perfomances.

Wake up Sid - a newcomer could perform as good as he did

Rockstar was a mess but I think he was ok.

Rajneeti he was a poker face.

Barfi is was the only one which had some impact, but again not a wow.

Farhan has given much better perfomances in few movies he has done.

Everyone is sucking up to Biru because he has a powerful background and he is a star.

Sadly last two decades we only have self made and self hyped stars, no actors.

(Frankly speaking, those who get best actor awards for their perfomances in bwood wouldn't even be nominated if they were in Hwood).

I don't get the hype of Ranbir in Rajneeti. The other male actors were way better than him. He was mediocre in that film.

And guys, I'm not saying he's a bad actor. I just don't understand how he can be ranked higher than the others. Hrithik did challenging roles in his earlier days, we had Lakshye, Koi Mil Gaya, Fiza, Mission Kashmir. Hrithik has always attempted different types of films. He has done crappy, OTT films like MPKDH, MDK but that's with every actor, including RK.

I can't see Ranbir doing a Ghagini, 3 Idiots, Darr, or KMG. I'm talking about the overall talent not the current choices of films actors are signing. Despite doing crap scriptless movies, Kareena has always been touted as the best talent and is ranked at the top most of the time. Its about talent not what an actor is currently doing.

Ranbir is at the top when compared to the younger crop of actors. But he's below Aamir, Hritihk, and SRK.

I guess its just a matter of perspective? About who seems more natural to you and lives the character? I have found Aamir rehearsed and mechanical on a lot of occasions but thats just me..And most of them on KWK gush about Ranbir cos he is currently successful..They'l drop him like a hot potato in no time if he starts delivering flops😆

Because they hate the khans.. Once Raverna Tandon said, Ranbir is not a khan, his a kapoor... They want their own race people to rule Bollywood, thus they promote him..

He is not as great as he is made out to be. Ever since he has arrived he as been treated like the heir to the throne. The Nepotism friendly bollywood has latched on to him as the future. He has made some good choices of course and he is a decent actor but I dont see him any more brilliant than Arjun or Ranveer for that matter. Others like Randeep Hooda are far ahead but las they lack the star power and backing of the industry.

Rightly deserved. Ranbir is a very good actor, has been a risk taker and experimenting with his roles right from the beginning, has proved his talent in most of the films, yes some worked some failed .

The obsession is understandable as he indeed is a good actor and been a risk taker right from start whereas many established actors fear to experiment and are still stuck the lover boy image roles or to the masala genres.
