I would show the extramarital affair etc, but I would put in a trigger point- you know, maybe SRK and Rani's characters fighting over something really badly and hurting each other, and then realising that this is the same reason for which they cheated their ex-es/fell out of love for them, how they used to fight, cry afterwards, feel hurt and trapped in a loveless marriage. That inspite of finding 'so called love' now, they are still not happy. Gradually would make them realise that the reason they weren't happy in their respective relationships was NOT bcos there wasn't 'love' in it, or bcos Abhishek or Preity were not their 'true soulmates', but rather bcos their own attitude towards their marriage was not right. Rani and SRK both had their own complexes and reasons of depression, that was why they fought with their exes and everyone was unhappy. Rather than working on these issues, they just gave up on their marriages with an 'I'm the victim and everyone is nasty' attitude and embraced the newfound attraction in their lives. A relationship does not end bcos there is no 'love' in it, or bcos your 'soulmate' is someone else. A relationship ends when your own attitude towards it is not right. Rani's and SRK's reasons of agony and depression would still be present even if they got together with each other- who is to say their second marriages would be successful. If anything, Rani would just feel all the more insecure as she cud not give SRK a kid and he had one from his previous marriage, and SRK would feel more pressurised and depressed than ever with not being able to provide financial aid to Preity and his kid. Maybe this point cud be shown to emphasize how they are not happy even after getting back together, the so called love is useless now?

Plus, would put in some point when SRK wonders about whether attraction or so called love is worth it to break your son's family, stay away from him, hurt your wife (Preity refuses to get married after that ever again- SRK comes to know of it, something like that)? People get attracted all the time but it takes character to stay away from that attraction and fulfill your relationships, and love that hurts the world isn't love. They could be shown remembering the understanding, compassionate times they have spent with their previous partners and how they always supported them- if that is not love what is it?

And thus, would make Rani and SRK overcome their faults and depression helping each other out, go back to work on their marriage, and maybe many years tell the truth to their spouses and apologise for it or simply keep it as a secret well hidden.

OR

If they have already dumped/hurt their spouses before coming to their senses, then apologise to them, get over your issues and only then get married to each other.

PS: I am using SRK, Rani Preity etc rather than the names of the characters as I have forgotten the names of the characters in the film.

I COMPLETELY AGREE!! 👏👏👏
You should've made this film instead of KJo.

SRK and Rani just threw their own pity parties because they were both insecure, selfish and chose to end their marriages because of their own issues. The hatred and envy that SRK had for Preity being the financial provider was just nasty, not to mention how snappy he was to his son. Rani also always said "what about me? Listen to me! U never talk to me!" Yet never bothered to listen to Abhis side either. YES Srks and Rani did have understandable reasons as to why they are depressed (srks leg, ranis infertility) but I just felt this movie glamourized affairs and was saying "hey, instead of working on your marriage, find someone thats broken and depressed like you and walk into the sunset and live happily ever after" 😆

I mean honestly, they hardly faced any consequences for their actions...cheating is no walk in the park, its a violation of boundaries and trust.

I like your endings of the movie much much better! They are more realistic
But according to KJO, life is all sunshine, puppies and rainbows...all the time 😆

Mmm probably a Wake Up Sid female version of the male character.
Jab We Met <3 Coz I can't get enough of that movie - I'd love to be bubbly Geet because I feel it'd be so much fun with the bindaas attitude.
Ishaqzaade - I really loved that film. And Arjun 😳
Karishma's role in Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge because that movie seems like a blast!
Juhi in Duplicate - she was sooo cute 😳
Anushka in Band Baaja, Sonakshi in Lootera - I feel like the character was depressing but just all those feelings captured in Paakhi is just soo beautiful, I don't think I can go through that emotional turmoil but acting is being in somebody else's shoes most of the time so why not ❤️
And I wanna be in Main Tera Hero - dancing with Varun to Besharmi Ki Height

😲 Haila!

:P 🤗

Hes yours... I just wanna do like a SB song with him 😆

Yes, the first part of the movie was actually relatable, it happens in real life. People have grey shades in real life, they have their own issues but rather than trying to overcome them, they blame it all as 'I'm not with the right person that's why I am sad'. A little attraction, a little temptation and they break boundaries.

It's the lack of introspection and the romanticizing of the whole extramarital affair angle calling it true love and soulmates and all that that totally made me hate the movie. WTH, who cares about soulmates, you just ruined a little boy's family, his mother doesn't believe in love anymore thanks to this infidelity! And these Amar Premis are justifying it as 'lovvve'.

The only thing good about the second half was the slap Preity gave SRK and asked him to get out of HER house.😆

Preity gave it to him good man! She hit him right where it hurts.. Especially when she says "no damn it, its always about YOU, YOU and only YOU" ...his little victim card BS was called out on 😆

Abhishek I felt at the end was more forgiving and sweet.. but I guess its good they showed that so that contrasting personalities are portrayed, rather than them handling the same situation with the same attitude. By that I mean, in the end Preity was just cordial where as Abhi was acting like a good friend. Makes sense, since they grew up together and all!

It was good hearing your ideas and understanding of the story, least I know Im not the only one who thought the movie could have been made much better! 😳🤗

I don't think it's pointless..we all can dream to be actors even if we are not actors.
I always dream of winning an Oscar..and being loved and appreciated of giving good performances and being a great actress. lol it must feel really awesome to get an Oscar or even a filmfare. I just think being an actor is interesting and very glamorous.

I would love to play strong female characters.
