Where would Dharmendra's first wife go ? He was a teenager when he got married, I assume she was younger. Probably not well educated, certainly no college or job. She was a housewife her whole life. Then when her sons are in their teens or something like that, her husband goes and gets married a second time to a younger 'dream girl'. In what way can she earn a living ? Indian society looks down at divorcees even now, imagine 30 or 40 years ago. She probably could not keep her kids because she was not earning or split them between households. Instead she chose to keep quiet.

It's not like Hema had it great either. She had her girls, dance, an MP career but a part time husband. She was more single woman than married woman.

Hema had options, Dharmendra's first wife did not. Certainly not like a Suzanne Roshan who had a career, independent money and education to fall back on.

It's disgusting to read Dharmendra-Hema's story being hailed as an epic love story. Epic my foot. I would rather describe their love story as a shameless one.

Defiantly agree with this.. I don't think most of these celebrities are guilty of this as much as those sheikhs in Arab world.. And some other Muslim countries.. Most of these celebrities either Muslim or not.. They don't have that knowledge to understand it..
But when we see all these mullahs and rich sheikh .. Who are supposed to be schoolers in Islam doing it.. That is even worse..I don't consider myself religious I barely pray but I do understand the logic of polygamy in Islam which is to give back and help.. As long as it is done equally
