Delivering back-to-back blockbusters in 2013 has made Deepika Padukone the reigning queen of Bollywood. The actress has proved her detractors wrong with her stellar performances and is now looking forward to do more character-oriented movies. Apparently, the actress has greenlit a women-centric film.

Spreading her wings! Deepika Padukone has reportedly signed a film called Peekoo, which is going to be directed by Shoojit Sircar. As per sources, the movie will have the sexy Deeps as the main protagonist. The women-centric film will reportedly go on the floors this April.

While there is no confirmation from either Shoojit Sircar or Deepika, sources claim that the actress might start this project before beginning work on Imtiaz Ali's film, titled Window Seat, starring her ex-flame Ranbir Kapoor.

Is Ranbir Kapoor keen to get Deepika Padukone in Ayan Mukerji's next?

"Before starting work on Imtiaz Ali's film starring Ranbir Kapoor... Deepika will start shooting for Shoojit's next. This will be a women-centric film and Deepika is looking forward to it with zeal," a source is quoted as saying.

The movie might also see Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan sharing screen space with Deepika Padukone.

As for now, Farah Khan's Happy New Year is keeping Deepika busy. The stunner will next be seen in Rajinikanth's Kochadaiiyaan and Homi Adajania's Finding Fanny Fernandes, co-starring Arjun Kapoor and also her beau Ranveer Singh.
