his performances in Lootera n RamLeela were unmatchable..so proud to b his fan.

That's what they said about Shahid Kapoor & Abhishek Bachchan too.

Ranveer is HOT at the moment. He's everywhere. TV shows, Magazine covers, award shows. You name it.

Two reasons:

1) Two massive releases. SLB's Ram-Leela and YRF's Gunday. These films were too big to fail, with or without Ranveer, Gunday has been a disappointment to the trade though. His previous film Lootera could barely garner the initial of 5 cr.

2) Relationship with Deepika, the reigning queen of Bollywood. That will get you a lot of press.

The thing is, relationships fizzle out or the media gets bored of them. At some point, you have to move out and work on smaller budget films which do have a chance of failing at the BO.
This is where Kill Dill comes in. Its not an cinematic extravaganza that is bound to succeed like Ram-Leela and Gunday . If Ranveer can get that film a decent opening, he is in fact on his way to stardom. But I have my doubts.

The former is star but not SuperStar! Rajesh Khanna is said so because he was able to have 14 consecutive straight hits in a row! Khans are said so because they can make even a 2Rs film 100 crore grosser and have established their name!

Ranveer and Ranbir will take another 4-5 years to term themselves as superstars

hmm i dnt know whether he is a star or super star and reading every1s comments i just dnt wanna jinx this guy he is so amazing i dnt think any1 is as talented as him bt i thought shahid kapoor(bt i just liked him thats about it) would do well as well and look at him now poor guy is struggling. ranveer has truly impressed me this guy isnt a media made star since i have been on this forum 90% of the articles that the media was spreading on him was bad bt coz of his killer performance be it acting, stage performance they have been forced to write some good things about him coz they couldnt ignore my jaans natural talent anymore lol. there is alot that works for him and alot that dnt. he is an outsider in this industry, he isnt naturally goodlooking~ranbir is handsomer than him and he is either repelling or pulling the audience towards him and there are some that even if they not a fan of his offscreen behaviour are getting curious about him(basically he is gett every1 is talking about him).


whether he has a few flops in a few years this guy isnt a abhishek that he will lay down and die. this guy loves what he does u watch him and u can see the passion, drive and hunger he has in him for this profession and for perfecting his art. And most importantly he loves being in the spot light. i cnt help myself and say this bt this guy isnt gona be in the league of ranbir, khan or any1 else he will create a place in the hearts of his fans that he will create his own league.

Yes I think hez totally on for the superstar status !
