Mary Kom headed for divorce from husband K Onler; is extramarital affair to be blamed?

Mary Kom is one of India’s most celebrated sportspersons. People who have followed her career closely know how her husband K Onler played a big role in making her a world champion. From caring for their two young kids to travelling with her, he was a pillar of support. As per Hindustan Times, Mary Kom and K Onler are headed for a split. It seems troubles started after K Onler began his journey as a politician in 2022. He had contested for the Manipur Assembly elections. While the two had a solid relationship, the issues that cropped up after his political stint could not be resolved.

They have been living apart since 2022. The lady is staying in Faridabad with their twin sons, Rechungvar and Khupnevar. Onler K is residing in Delhi with his family. A source told the newspaper, “Mary moved to Faridabad with their (four) children, while Onler has been living in Delhi with some family members. Their differences escalated after the elections. Mary was reportedly unhappy about the financial losses, around Rs. 2-3 crores, incurred during the campaign and (the fact) that he lost.”

There is also an angle of extramarital affair in this matter. An anonymous source said that the divorce rumours is not smoke without a fire. There is gossip that Mary Kom is seeing another boxer’s husband. She has also posted his pictures on her Instagram feed as an business associate.

The separation rumours about Mary Kom and Onler might not be just rumours. No one knows the reason for sure, though. Everyone whispers about Mary Ma'am being in a relationship with another boxer's husband. Speculation has been fuelled further by her recent Instagram posts featuring him as her business associate.

The lady refused to comment on the matter saying that she has rights to privacy and dignity. Also, she said she is not obliged to answer people on this. Her husband could not reached on the phone.
