Both suck acting-wise... KJo really had to pick these two out of the thousands of talented aspiring actors in Mumbai? Nepotism really has ruined Bollywood...

Varun's acting is over the top and to add to that he always gives off desperate wannabe vibes...his voice and height is such a turn off...he seems more like an attention seeker...on the other hand sid is calm and composed...i even liked him in SOTY far better than varun...he was the best part of SOTY for me...in HTP also he proved himself as an actor so it's sid all the way

It's wrong to judge them at this time because We have seen SID in two movies and he has surely improved in the HTP ..but varun's second film is yet to release ..it will be wrong to judge varun only on the base of SOTY .
This discussion should be done after the realease of Main Tera hero !!
And yeah if going by SOTY than varun was better than Sid .

Varun impressed me with his acting despite his voice and dancing. He is not a bad looker either. He still needs to learn a lot more.

Sid M was good in expressing anger but horrible in the scenes where he had to grief and other kind of emotions, also was so bad i dancing. Even though he is good looking guy his acting fell short for me.

That is my impression of them in the movie SOTY. Since this was Sid M 1st movie, I am going to give him a chance to improve his craft.

first @TM if u havn't watchd HTP yet..go n watch. u'll get ur ans itself. i watchd HTP n believe me Sid has provd himself..he was Brilliant..i couldn't watchd anythng except Nikhil <3 nw i undstd why peeps went gaga over him aftr watchn HTP <3 he truly deservs all d Appriciation, Love ! he has Potential n he has grw as an Actor n Dancer also! n m nt B'wood lover..m here just bcs of Sidharth Malhotra! he has long way to Go n he'll dfntly *Insha allah*

i am biased towards varun i really liked him in soty and think he has alot of potential. i havent seen sid's new movie so i cnt comment on him. but will be watching both VD and SM's movie 1 after the other to decide who is really better btw them since soty was total shit. bt really even after 2 movies its to early to decide on who is better. bt sid has really good movies coming out i am so jealous and i dnt really like VD upcoming movies
