Vidya too faced brickbats in her earlier days like Pari faces now. I know.

I just hope Pari comes up with her own type of 'glamor'... I mean.. you know, like Sonakshi is considered glamorous in her own way? That sort. Sonakshi has been a fashion designer herself so she probably figured out earlier what type of clothes suit her body type her and what not, Pari will learn with time too I hope about what suits her rather than just wearing the most stylish and revealing outfits like others. Her stylist needs to really help her with this, right now I'm not liking her look and her attempts at looking glamorous.

I guess she will do what Shaad and her stylist say. She doesn't really seem to know much about clothes as she says. I don't like her stylist...she doesn't seem to know what would suit Pari best. You don't have to be stick thin to look good anyways...just have to wear the right clothes.

till now pari's roles are all same. same loud girl who is bubbly full of life. nothing diffrent. in these kinds of role the male actors often get overshadowed by female actresses.
i want to see her in different role. its too repeatative.

I would love SidM to atleast steal some thunder in HTP from Pari..But she is such a powerhouse performer that you just cant take your eyes off her when she is there..
I would love to see her with Ranbir and Ranveer..Both are brilliant perfomers..and it will be fun to see if she manages to overshadow them..😊

So, WHAT is the issue?
Fine, she steals someone's thunder, not her problem if the other actor lacked their bit of punch. Yes, she does play spunky/loud/cheeky/spontaneous characters; similar traits in each of her characters so far. But, she is just 3-4 films old! Give her some time, maybe she is taking a different approach and establishing herself before she does more "risky" roles!

why cant we appreciate even if she is in her comfort zone?
today so many actresses perform terribly being in their comfort zone even- parineeti at least nails it there and she is only 2 years old in the industry, has done like 3 movies!
cant help but praise her
so effortlessly natural, I really enjoy her onscreen- such a natural!
the only reason I could sit through Ladies VS RB and SDR was pari- she is a pathaka onscreen

I don think the issue is with her stealing someone's thunder..She is hailed as the best actress of this generation, so it makes ppl question her versatility cos she has been doing the same kind of roles..The issue is that Pari is outstanding when it comes to roles in her comfort zone and she has been good right from her first film..Thats a big thing for a newcomer..So there are greater expectations and ppl end up questioning her acting chops..All she needs is one silent, sober role to silence her critics..I have always mentioned that Pari has the ability to do well in all kinds of roles but she chooses to stick to her comfort zone..One different role and ppl will have nothing to put her down😆

No one's taking away from the fact that Parineeti is a good, promising actress..whatever she has shown us thus far has been good if you strictly look at her performances BUT, the hype around her for being the amazing performer she's touted to be is questionable. I've said this again, she'll be what 6 films old by the end of this year? All mainstream films..5 with yrf, 1 with Dharma..all massy roles..all of her characters give off the same vibe to the point where even her voice modulation is monotonous in each film because that signature, quirky voice which Parineeti has is there every time.
Moreover, I don't see anyone saying that the three heroes that were in her first 3 films were below par or far worse than Parineeti? Not to mention, has there been a single year where Parineeti's performance has NOT been nominated at an award show? Her fellow actors may or may not get a nomination but Parineeti is guaranteed one. She's already guaranteed a nomination for HTP, that goes without saying actually. Heck, she even has a national award mention.,

Sure, her approach may be different..she needs time etc etc...but she's not the only newcomer in town. Lets not forget that. There has been an influx of newcomers over the past few years. How many of them are following the same route as Parineeti? hardly any. In fact, all of her fellow coactors - Ranveer, Arjun and even Sushant have branched out way more and they're pretty new themselves.

As I said, Parineeti is a promising actress..we get it. I think everyone does. She commands your attention onscreen which is something rare, however..there comes a point where as an audience you want an actress to branch out. People have said the same with the likes of Anushka, Sonakshi etc..so how is Parineeti any different? Otherwise, you get typecasted and a few films down the line, you're somewhat history. Needless to say, actresses don't last forever..not every actress is Kareena Kapoor where hits and flops are irrelevant to your popularity.

So when I say can a young actor surpass Parineeti at what she's best at..then that's to ask for the unexpected..as we all already know Parineeti will end up being the best part about most of her films if not at all because of the films she's choosing at the moment. As for the male actors..she's working with the younger lot. I'm all for women power and whatnot..but they too deserve a chance to shine if they're as good if not better.

Well, she definitely shines and stands out among her contemporaries, no doubt in it! So, its a given she'll be held the best amongst them...that doesn't equate to being the best 'actress'! I think she is capable of handling the "serious" roles just as swiftly as she does her recent roles. You can just tell her talent has much more potential than it is being explored by the films she is doing. Some of the posts make it seem that she is actually "stealing" away from her co-actors, as if blaming her for being too outstanding... 😆

Also, as an aside-IMO, a good actress doesn't have to mean a versatile one. Acting is all about make-believe and pulling in the audience's attention and interest even in the craziest, most unbelievable thing you're pulling off...and acc. to this, Parineeti seems to be on the right track :P

A good actor need not be versatile but if he or she proves his versatility, he becomes a great actor..There is a reason why people think Aamir is a better actor than SRK..IMO, SRK has the potential to be a better actor than Amir if he is given a good director and script but since he keeps repeating himself and does trash, ppl automatically categorize him as the quintessential lover boy..As i mentioned earlier, i think Parineeti can be equally good in serious roles..So why not prove her versatility instead of sticking to her comfort zone? Parineeti can blow all her contemporaries out of the water..But most of her detractors say that she keeps repeating herself..So why not prove them wrong especially when you have the ability to do so? Ranveer for instance was brilliant in BBB..But it took a Lootera for everyone to unanimously acknowledge that he is a great actor..So all that am saying is that Pari needs to do one different role to silence her critics..And am pretty sure she'l pull it off cos she has the potential..
