In my opinion to be the number 1 actress u need to have a bit of everything i.e ( good looks which includes good height and body too..acting skills , great dance, popularity and liking among masses and most importantly consistent box office hits) .. So who says she wasnt recognized for her acting or the characters she played over this decade? Director like Yash raj found her worthy enough for giving her the lead role in his important project Jab tak hai Jaan. . other directors and producers too are ok with her acting skills and are casting her in their important movies. So the comments on her weak acting skills dont sound accurate to me .So overall as a package she is surely the number 1 actress.

you should have corrected yourself right there. you are claiming to be the top you have to have a bit of everything, including acting, yet you claimed Katrina is the no 1 Actress? Katrina and acting cant not be in the same sentence, like Ever or at least never happened before. so I don't understand how we can say she is no 1 ( considering your own rules to be in the no 1 spot..)

Katrina Kaif thinks there should be a National Award category for item numbers too; says 'Sheila Ki Jawani' would definitely win...

The National Awards have been talked about quite a lot in the filmi circuit since they were announced, with the inevitable dissection of whether this/that film should have won or not won, who deserved it, who did not, et al... But while the chairperson of the jury, JP Dutta, might be defending the choice of Salman Khan starrer "Dabangg" as the winner of the best film providing wholesome entertainment, here's one question that the jury wouldn't have thought it would face in a million years.

The question was raised by none other than Bollywood's Kat, even though it didn't look like she knew much about who had won. At a recent event in Mumbai, when questioned about her reaction to the news of "Dabangg" winning, she apparently looked ignorant as she said, "Oh is it ? I didn't know!" But then she gave her congratulations to the team, but added that "Rajneeti" too was a prime contender for the spot! But that wasn't all, for Kat went on to add that the jury should start a new category for item songs, and that her sizzling " Sheila Ki jawani" should definitely win it. So while Katrina might not have known that Sallu's film had won, we think she would definitely like to know why item numbers should not be in the reckoning for an award. Are the jury members listening?

Well according to me the no.1 actress should atleast be able to ACT...i mean that's what they're paid for. And the less sais about katrina's acting skills,the better ! And Deepika has been in the industry for only six years and has given 9 hits... which include 5 hits in a row. And i think that's quite good. I'm not questioning Kat's mass appeal or beauty ( for those who find her beautiful) what i'm saying is that Deepika too has the same along with great acting abilities. And no matter how much people deny but deepika gets a lot of credit for ram-leela's success aswell. So according to me , when you compare an actress with poor or no acting capabilities with an actress with good acting capabilities i think the latter should win.

Hit Item numbers gives an actress good hype and publicity ..Moreover its a good way to make money as u get to perform for various award functions and new years eve on ur hit songs.Priyanka ,Kareena , Katrina and Sonakshi have done item numbers which became very popular.Who would be interested to have Deepika for an item number,She doesnt know how to dance, neither have a good body ( No sex appeal, thin stick type body) nor have the looks to carry an item number .She needs a complete makeover firstly , even then I doubt someone would be interested in seeing a negress with funny dance moves on their tv .. LOL
