Dhoom 3 has been on historic run in USA, movie broke 6.5m $ record of 3 Idiots on its 10th Day, till its 19th Day movie has collected 7.91m $ (49.1cr) approx. Movie has broken the previous record by some lead of 25% while till the end of its run movie will have margin of 30% over previous leader 3 Idiots. Movie will cross 8m $ mark in USA by Saturday while 50cr mark in USA will be crossed by Sunday. Below are top 5 grossers in USA.

Dhoom 3 released in approx 100 more screens than 3 Idiots and edged out movie with total of over 25% margin in lifetime run. Movie recorded super duper huge Opening Week but after that movie has seen huge drops in Week Two and Three despite new year celebrations. 3 Idiots also had new year in Week Two but it dipped only 36% in Week Two while Dhoom 3 dipped 69%. Week three had no holiday for both, Dhoom 3 is looking at another drop of 75% over previous Week while 3 Idiots had dipped 58% in Week three. Trending of both movies clearly show that Dhoom 3 has been on lower side since its opening Week while 3 Idiots continued its magic run in coming Weeks also.
