I think all the dances were there so there was nothing to be cut.See this is from Mohar Basu review:

Katrina Kaif is beautiful in every frame. She is perfect with her acts and the dance. Sadly, her role isn't written with more meat or emotion.

Even if Aamir did cut the roles, how much could he have cut? If Kat did have a good role then Aamir couldn't have edited the roles/movie to the extent of making Kat look like a flowerpot because then the movie would look incomplete. I don't think she had that good of a role to begin with. She probably signed the film thinking that she will get to work with Aamir in such a huge franchise and that D3 will be added to her list of BB's.

from all her promotional IV its clear that she knew signed for the acrobatics and songs and nothing more cause i dont see her talk anywhere about her character..

To cut off the role there must be some role... Katrina's role was mainly in dances & she worked hard for it & all the dances were there. She was there to up the glam quotient of the film...

The film would look like a mess if Aamir would have done something like that. I don't believe Aamir chop off her parts at all.

If I watch D3 it will mostly be for the dance sequences and not the hw copy actions or the two leads and villains. Katrina looked smocking hot and danced amazingly. yeah no expressions but u cannot get what you want.

Chaalo ab Kat ko bye bye bolne ka samay hain, she seems to be a much bigger flower pot than Sonakshi. Sonakshi atleast stands at the back of hero , but Kat is misssing from action and seen only in songs.
