After having lost oodles of weight, Bipasha Basu has gained oodles of sex appeal. So much so, that she's looking positively divine in a bikini in the promos of Sanjay Gadhvi's Dhoom 2 (it plays before Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna's screening at the theatres).

Shaped up!

Shot in Brazil, South Africa and India, Dhoom 2 is a stylised action flick with bikes, babes and beaches. Produced by Yash Raj films, it also seems like it's the war of the bikini babes. The buzz is that even Aishwarya Rai has worn a bikini in the film, but the promos only have the sizzling Bipasha on the beach.

We catch up with Bipasha in New York, and she laps up the praise saying, "Thanks for the compliment."

Bipasha won't say much about her role in the film because she is bound by a confidentiality contract, but says, "I can't talk about the film right now, but it's definitely something I have enjoyed playing."

Character driven

She's wearing a bikini in a film for the first time. "If one has the figure, one should be able to carry off a bikini. I have worked hard at it," says Bipasha.
Any special preparations before she turned into a beach babe? "Yes, I toned up my body. From now on, I have decided that I will work on my body according to the characters I play. If it's an Indian character, then I won't work so much on my muscle tone. For an urban girl's role, I will work on my body and tone up my muscles," she says.

"If I need to put on weight for a role, I will do that too. Like in Abbas-Mustan's film I have two looks — one with short hair and the other long. I have decided to work on only one film at a time and fulfill the needs of the character."
