His rush to paint Susanne as the instigator makes me wonder. It's somewhat PETTY if you ask me.

At any rate all but the most deluded people in the world (or the most invested in blaming women for reasons of religion or culture) wouldn't wonder a little at the idea that some washed out, skinny, seemingly substance dependent mother of two children, who lives hemmed in by parents in a vary patriarchal country was the cause of the marital problems. I'd be much more likely to suspect that the myriad romantic and sexual opportunities of the handsome and lauded MISTER Roshan was the problem and if Susanne precipitated the break it was due to her husband making her feel even more of an unneeded, baby making appendage than even cocaine in massive quantities could dull the hurt of.

Face it, Hrithik is and always has been more of an eye catcher than Susanne. He's a MAN in a patriarchal country that views woman's main purpose as to be "pretty" enough to make a man impregnate her and be stuck supporting her with his fortune OR NAME as long as the children are there.

No human being can stand that for long without feeling self hatred, hatred of the system or resentment of the other person. Chances are very good that Hrithik played and Susanne decided NOT to quietly accept being treated like dirt beneath his feet.

The GOOD thing is that HER sons will see that treating women like this causes pain...and often that pain is to perfectly nice women; women like their mother.

It's hard to accept that you have suddenly been demoted from Susanne to "a used up baby making appendage" No human should have to.

Hrithik's lack of concern for Susanne's reputation in all this speaks louder than words to what this relationship was like.

Good on her for dumping him.

My point was .. this moral feminist policing at this separation was out of place. There r so many cases where women have been abused..in Bollywood itself.. and on that I will be with U.

But a mother of 2 takes drugs.. she will be sent to rehab by court and she doeasnt complete the course.. she can either go to jail.. or her kids will be taken away from her.. Thats in NZ>

You're right on that one. Drugs DO impair anyones ability to be a sane and cogent parent. Mother OR father. But we are (at least to my way of thinking) stupid if we refuse to look at the reasons behind the drug abuse. Yes, I totally agree some people are just...I don't know...drawn to substance abuse but MOST...MOST it seems...come to it from some sort of despair.

Now what causes different people to despair can really differ based upon socio-economic background, gender, culture, what have you. There are so many things that can lead to drug abuse.and unless we really WANT, for some reason, to start branding scarlet As on people's foreheads we must ask WHAT brought them to such despair before we start taking people children and driving them further down the rabbit hole to suicide..we MUST look at what has brought them to this place in their lives. Usually it's extreme sadness. A sadness and hopelessness we can be grateful we have never experienced.

I tend to have more sympathy for the person in the position of being the one "done to" rather than the "doer" Often the one "done to" was just in the wrong place or the wrong lifestyle at the wrong time. Not surprising that they didn't know how best to deal. Most of us wouldn't.

So taking someone's children on top of the despair of whatever else they have gone through can mean nothing more than affirming the abuse they received in the first place.

You know how most of us tend to try to attach a "reason" to things that happen to us..."If I were PRETTIER...YOUNGER...SMARTER...etc" and often it's not that at all. Our fate is based upon far more arbitrary reasons than we can even imagine.

And what's wrong with feminist policing? We're policing for you...or for your mother...or your daughter. Men have hugs systems and religious dogma that they've twisted to their service. Don't YOU deserve someone to fight for you? Doesn't your mother deserve someone to care about fairness to HER (or do you REALLY think she's an inferior creature of God and if so...what did she do to YOU? Drop you on your head and LAUGH? What could deserve such willing acceptance of her inferiority? Do you really WANT your daughter to be a slave, valued only for her youthful looks and sexual appeal? don't you want someone to love her as you do...for who she IS not for what she looks like at this ONE MOMENT IN TIME?

Yeah;...we sucky feminist police. At least we don't stone people, we just point out unfairness. No one dies. That deserves a thumbs up for sure 👍🏼
