1st Week Worldwide Box Office Collection Of R...RAJKUMAR

''R...Rajkumar'' proved to be another hit from Prabhu Dheva at least among its target audience which is single screen. Film managed to score well despite few mindless critics writing it off.

''R...Rajkumar'' proved to be another hit from Prabhu Dheva at least among its target audience which is single screen. Film managed to score well despite few mindless critics writing it off.

Film collected 4.60 cr nett on Tuesday followed by 3.90 cr nett on Wednesday and 3.30 cr nett on Thursday taking 7 day total to almost 47 cr nett which is a good total. Film dropped by 10-15% on weekdays which is a good sign.

Film has also collected 6.50 cr nett from overseas market and 1st week total will be 7-8 cr from there. Film will dominate 2nd week too as there is no major release except small one ''Jackpot''. Film should add 15 cr nett in 2nd week which will take it to over 60 cr nett, a new high for Shahid.

R... Rajkumar Does Well In First Week

R... Rajkumar did well in its first week collecting around 44 crore nett. The film opened well then dropped a little on Saturday but had a rock solid Monday and has been steady over the rest of the weekdays.

The film has scored very well in Mumbai, Rajasthan, CP Berar, CI, Bihar and Nizam while other circuits have seen average business though these circuits have been steady on the weekdays with collections on the lower side.

The film is sure to cross 60 crore nett as second week will be good but 70 crore nett will probably be tough as Dhoom 3 comes next week and R... Rajkumar will see a huge reduction in collections. The film has chances of being amongst the top ten grossers of 2013.

R...Rajkumar Crosses Shahid's Biggest Kaminey' Within One Week

Despite an all around cynicism surrounding it right from the time Shahid Kapoor got on board for thisPrabhudheva directed affair, R... Rajkumar managed to enjoy a good week at the box office. Even though the film enjoyed a healthy weekend, there were detractors baying for its blood and being almost sure that it would crash during the weekdays. This didn't happen though as audience gave a green signal to the film, hence allowing it to collect consistently in week days to follow as well. Result? First week collections are in the tune of 46 crores, hence paving the way for a more than respectable lifetime total ahead.

For Shahid Kapoor, the film is a huge respite indeed. Not just it has managed to cross the lifetime total of his biggest grosser till date, Kaminey [42 crore], it is also set to be one of the top grossers of the year. Ditto for Sonakshi Sinha who would now end the year on a high with a bona fide success under her belt.

As for Prabhudheva, his track record of 100% success stays intact in the world of Hindi movies. Eros too has managed two back to back money spinners in the form of Ramleela and now R... Rajkumar. Meanwhile producer Viki Rajani has entered the big league after starting 2013 with a small budget, but impressive success with Table No. 21.

The film is looking at a lifetime total of at least 70 crore though a bigger total would be a challenge since Dhoom 3 strikes next week.

Another release of the week, Club 60, was a complete non-starter and didn't have much to cheer about other than enjoying some good reviews coming its way.
