Did someone cast an evil eye on his career or something? Back in 2009, he was considered by many the next superstar of the industry. Now flash forward four years in, he's one of the most commercially unsuccessful actors in Bollywood. Flop after flop after flop. What's going on? I mean It's not like he's not talented. The guy's a great actor and an excellent dancer, so what went wrong? In an industry where someone as untalented and crappy as Imran Khan can get hit films, why isn't Shahid Kapoor doing the same? Today, his film R Rajkumar came out and now that he finally got a good opening, all the critics are bashing the film which will unfortunately have some effect on the box office collections. Is it his script choice or is it just really bad luck?

Also, I have to say that it's really sweet how some of you are really stressed about the film's box office figures probably just as much as Shahid. It goes to show that at least he has some loyal fans that genuinely care about him 😊

And the interesting part is ...He is giving flops but people can't say he was bad in em. He always gets good comments regarding his work ... It's just scripts ...

I have yet to see people not praising him for RR (not talking about critics) ... Those who didn't like the movie are even praising him.

Ha! The most surprising bit from today was that Filmfare guy's tweet. 😆

Shahid is a very good actor, he just has had a bad choice in movies, I just watched R...Rajkumar and I am sad in saying that i thought it was a really bad movie, shahid has reduced himself to this and it's sad to see.

I am eagerly looking forward to watching haider, like I said shahid is a good actor and this movie seems like his talent will be shown.

Oh and to answer your question, bad luck.

Because I was watching Review Video today ... Bollywood Hungama one ... There was this old guy ... Praising him ... Saying if it was Salman in the movie, it could have been a blockbuster right this minute (Which is unfair I think in a way), but if people accept Shahid in this avatar ... There's no stopping him ...

I agreed w/ what he said. Public, majority, loved him. But Critics seem to be ruining the fun.

Yes people are loving shahid, but the movie itself is doing him no favours. Salman is a huge star, he can be in the most crap movie and it will still be a hit bcuz salman has been in the industry for so long and has become an icon to people.

The critical reactions are expected. Shahid did RR and PPNH to improve his BO standing. Its not a matter of luck...but as per plan.

But it's sad bcuz his talents are so wasted in these bad movies. RR was just filled with crass jokes and people beating each other up.
