but he got 17 flops, and still got lead roles.. can u believe.. ughh so much of biasness only becos he was AB's son.. 🤬

huh, and media used to brag that how prince bachan would dismantle Hrithik and his overnight stardom..🤪🤣.. even Abhishek's wifey's biggest hit is with Hrithik..🤣 and as an actress and a star Aish is always an iconic lady IMO..

@bold:- thats what.. he did get good hold over back then, yuva, sarkar, bunty bubly .. and then the immediate next year he plays a 2nd fiddle to HR and SRK .. this man is dumb or either lost himself to KJO and Adi chopra who emotionally blackmailed him to play useless characters in the films...

exactly ! Those roles i believe harmed his career the most and reduced his status to a 2nd lead actor 😆

those second fiddles has harmed his appeal as a lead actor humongously.. becos in 2005 if i am not wrong, he gave solo hitsplus multistarrer hits like yuva and sarkar..
and then suddenly useless characters like a loser cop and loser husband in back to back films..
i feel he just did it becos the films were of dharma's and YRFs.. never seen such a dumb man..
and when suddenly he got a BB wid bol bachan alst year and a lead role after ages, he is doing a useless cop in dhoom3 .. i m sure just like dhoom2 here also he will be shown a loser ..🥱
and what the hell and why the hell he behaves like Aish's ghulam in every public function, uff that turns me off lately... his father's personality is still so calm, sane and appealing and his one he himself ruined it.

Most kids of maha-iconic parents suffer due to comparisons. Though there are exceptions like Sunny Deol who has his own identity despite having one of the biggest, handsomest stars as his father.

Abhishek had a laidback aura. He never had the energy, spark or charm. His father's comeback and makeover slighted him even more as people thought how charismatic Amitabh was even at 60 whereas Abhishek was useless in young age.

Comparisons with Hrithik mauled him. He couldn't dance, his expressions and style of lip sync gave away how hard he was trying. Often he was and is still accused of trying to imitate his father.

He wasn't that fit either. He's mostly looked kind of flabby. Never a properly toned, hunky body.

His script sense was really bad. He rejected biggest films like Lagaan, DCH, RDB, Munnabhai series, Swades etc. for flimsy reasons like not wanting to do "small"/supporting role or not understanding the script.

His sticking to Bachchans all the time did no good to him. He could never come out of their shadow. It looked like he was cashing on their name, getting work due to them and perhaps even got a wife like Aishwarya due to them! For aam janta he's like this lazy prince who got everything on a platter.

He was being accepted in rugged manly roles like Yuva but he abandoned them to do stupid stuff like Dostana.

His pairing with Rani Mukherji was popular and for some reason he stopped working with her (even before her career went down). That also hurt his prospects.

He should have tried artsy or serious cinema instead of trying to fit in commercial cinema. Once he became relegated to a supporting role to other stars he just lost it.

Today he's even in shadow of his baby girl, who's more talked of than him.

Worse is that he's happy and rather wears his shadow status on his sleeve! He may try to be sportive about it. But to aam junta that's the mark of a loser. Nothing inspirational about him.

Abhishek should have tried to create a different style of his own, the way Sunny had entirely different aura from that of Dharmendra. Even Saif's waao waao urban metrosexual man image is distinctive. Unlike Abhishek who has nothing distinctive or unique about him.

I feel sorry for him. He was better off as a filmmaker or businessman than an actor.

@bold:- just now remembered that he even played a second fiddle to Rani in laga chunri.. ohh god, this man is uber dumb ..

and about the films u mentioned that he rejected, i read that those films like DCH, Swades, RDB, Humtum, including buntu aur bubly were offered to Hrithik first ... and munnabhai went to srk first i guess..

@Harshu.sundas

Those films were offered to Abhishek also. Different roles. In fact Boman Irani had revealed that one of the 3 Idiots' roles was discussed with Abhishek also but he rejected it.

Yeah he played sidekick to even Rani in LCMD! Killed all chances of being accepted as solo lead.

He's not even in Idea ads anymore now.

ohh yes.. its possible that different roles..
I cant believe he rejectes supporting roles in 3idiots and did supporting and useless roles in dhoom series..
if ne1 has to be blamed its him, he butchered his career in his own hands..

and i dint know that he doesnt do idea ads anymore.. but yeah he has some kitchen ads with his biwi sahiba.. he is always happy about it that he has made his image a joru ka ghulam in front of the media..
and yes most imp factor which u also mentioned was comparison and competition with Hrithik mauled him.. m sure Hrithik wouldnt get these many chances if he would give 17 flops in a row unlike Abhishekh who got chances and still he is getting.
