After the popular request from our reader base, here is the report on the screen space of Shahid Kapoor starrer R... Rajkumar. The film is the biggest ever release of Shahid Kapoor.
A source close to the film's distributor - Eros International, quoted the screen space of the film to be in the range of 2850 screens. But the number of screens are more clear now after the full-fledged release.
R... Rajkumar was released in around 104 cinemas across Delhi with more than 625 shows for the day and it was allocated in 119 cinemas in more than 810 shows in Mumbai including Kalyan and Navi Mumbai.
The total number of screens allotted to R... Rajkumar across the country are around 2760 screens.
I just tweeted this:
#RRajkumar: It's the battle of Critics vs Audience ! Audience seems to b loving nd Critics being aholes!@sonakshisinha@shahidkapoorI'm feeling a tiny bit better now, cursing em. 😆
@TheJake, I think you are missing my point...he is already filming another movie. Bollywood has a short professional memory (if RR turns blockbuster but Haider flops people will be writing him off again) but a much longer personal memory. People he has offended in the past are quick to hurt him or at least not help him (ahem... Taran Adarsh is the LEAST powerful of those but even so people are wigging out over the fact that Taran Adarsh gave a masala film a terrible review). It only takes one film to change an audiences perception of an actor from flop to star. Maybe it will come and maybe it will not but as long as the industry keeps giving him chances he's okay. If the editor of Filmfare is saying Shahid's time will come that should be a cause for celebration for his fans because Filmfare has never missed the opportunity to diss Shahid in the past.

It's almost feels like I'm watching a Pak vs Ind match. Getting that nerve wrecking feeling. 😆
