Akshay Kumar and Shilpa Shetty call truce

Cut to 2008: Shilpa Shetty invited one-time-steady Akshay Kumar on stage to announce the winner of the TV reality show, Bigg Boss 2, and couldn't resist taunting him, "Maine dekha hai aapne zindagi mein kaafi bade stunts kiye hain." Akshay retorted to the jibe with, "Aap se behtar aur kaun jaan sakta hai mere stunts ke baare mein, Shilpaji."

Cut to 2009: Shilpa had planned her wedding guest list, giving Akshay the royal miss. Unfortunately for her the brass band was not clued in and just before the pheras, the band started playing some romantic songs from the Akshay Kumar-Shilpa Shetty starrer Dhadkan. Members from Raj Kundra and Shilpa's families immediately ordered them to stop.The bandwallahs were categorically told not to play any songs from Akshay's films. In fact, they were told to stop playing, until further orders.

"They started playing songs again around 5 pm, and this time there were no songs featuring Akshay. It was hilarious," recalls a guest

Cut to 2013: At the Bachchans' Diwali party held at their Juhu bungalow, Jalsa, on November 3, guests were seated at tables playing cards. Akshay walked up to one of the tables. A few minutes later, Shilpa and Raj joined him. Raj, Shilpa and Akshay spoke to each other warmly." Later all three played cards at the same table," says an onlooker. " This Diwali the hatchet was finally buried."
