Krrish 3 collected around 20.50 crore nett on Tuesday to take its total to 101 crore nett. The collections on Tuesday were the second highest in its run beating the figures of its first, second and third day. The week should now finish at around 125-130 crore nett. The business of Krrish 3 so far is as follows.

Friday - 18.75 crore

Saturday - 15.50 crore

Sunday - 15 crore

Monday - 31.50 crore

Tuesday - 20.50 crore

TOTAL - 101.25 crore nett

Krrish 3' Box Office Collection: Hrithik Starrer Breaks Chennai Express' 5-Day Record, Earns 134.8 Crore

Rakesh Roshan's directorial venture "Krrish 3" has shattered "Chennai Express" five day record at domestic box office by earning 134.87 crore.

"It's a rocking Tuesday! #Krrish3 is on a record-smashing spree. Collects 26.26 cr. Total: 134.87 cr. AWESOME," trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.

Shah Rukh Khan's "Chennai Express," which became the highest grossing film ever, minted 124.54 crore in its five-day theatrical run, which includes paid previews.

"Krrish 3" which stars Hrithik Roshan in the lead role is setting records by making highest single day collection. Although, the film witnessed a drop on Tuesday, the business is still phenomenal.

The first weekend collections were low due to the Diwali festivities across the country, but it eventually picked up on Monday. On the other hand, "Chennai Express" had registered a huge drop in its collection on first Monday.

The collections from North and Central India have been exceptionally well especially on Monday. Single screens at several circuits are recording phenomenal collections as compared to multiplexes.

The five day breakup of "Krrish 3" and "Chennai Express" according to Taran Adarsh is:

Krrish 3: Friday 25.5 crore, Saturday 23 crore, Sunday 24.3 crore, Monday 35.91 crore and Tuesday 26.26 crore.

Chennai Express: 6.75 crore on Thursday's paid preview, 33.12 crore on Friday, 28.05 crore on Saturday, 32.50 crore on Sunday, 12.62 crore on Monday and 11.50 crore on Tuesday.

The film has already crossed one milestone by surpassing the 100 crore club in four days. With the current pace of "Krrish 3" should cross the 150 crore mark by Wednesday.

If it rakes in 150 crore by Wednesday then it would again break "Chennai Express" record, which took one week to surpass 150 crore mark.

"Krrish 3" produced and directed by Rakesh Roshan is the third installment film after "Koi...Mil Gaya" "Krrish". The target audience of the recently released film is mainly children and family audiences which is also one of the reasons why the film is earning huge amount at the box offices.

Chennai Express vs Krrish 3: Box Office Comparison

When Chennai Express broke the record of 3 Idiots, many in the trade felt that it would be an uphill task for films like Dhoom 3 and Krrish 3 to surpass the 227 crore figure. After all, the Shahrukh Khan starrer had collected 100 crore in 3 days and 150 crore in its first week itself!

But a quick comparison between the 5-day business of the two films reveals that Krrish 3 is ahead of Chennai Express at the moment.

Hindi version without paid previews - Chennai Express: 117.8 crore - Krrish 3: 125.3 crore
Hindi version including paid previews - Chennai Express: 124.55 crore - Krrish 3: 125.3 crore
Total domestic collections including all versions and paid previews - Chennai Express: 124.55 crore - Krrish 3: 134.87 crore

Note: The Hindi version of both films released on approximately 3700 screens. While Krrish 3 was affected by the Pre-Diwali period in its first 3 days, Chennai Express benefitted from national holidays for Eid and Sunday. However, business of Krrish 3 took a massive jump Post-Diwali which is considered to be as lucrative as Eid' for films.

Now that your film is out and has joined the prestigious Rs.100 crore club in just four days are you relaxed?
I haven't slept for four days. This usually happens during release time but tonight I am going to sleep like a superhero. It's excellent that the film is in the 100 cr club in just four days and we also have made a new record of the highest collections in one day that is Rs.35.91 cr on Monday so it's a feeling that I can't explain in words.

After three years of hard work on one film what is it like on the day of the release?
There is no morning on Fridays because you haven't slept on Thursday night. It's not just my hard work but an entire team has worked on one project for two to three years so obviously you want the film to work for the sake over everyone involved. My dad took such brave steps while making Krrish 3, I want it to work for him and so many other people.

What are the first signs that tell you that your film has worked?
Never believe in first signs. Initially there will be a lot of people telling you that your film is great but it's the best to wait for the first few days and then you will know it automatically. There is no need to judge with the first sign that tells you that it has worked or it hasn't.

We saw you on the wall of Maratha Mandir, a popular single screen in Mumbai. What you see from there is a crowd of thousands of people, you can barely see their faces but they all are waiting to get a glimpse of you. Explain to us that feeling? Seeing that is it easy to get carried away?
It's unreal. I am not myself when I see that, trust me. The love that you are getting standing there is something that cannot be explained. I feel like jumping over that wall into the crowd. I want to get carried away and enjoy that. I want to tell all the Hollywood actors that they may have a lot of things but the love that an Indian audience can give can never be matched, this is something they will never get to witness unless they are in India, in Bollywood.

You watched the film with the crowd in Mumbai. That sounds great but isn't that scary?
It's a learning experience for any actor. In fact when I was watching it with them I kept thinking we could have added something more at this scene since they are laughing here, we could have added some more action since they are enjoying it. I have decided I will watch all my films with the audience.

Your film has made a record of the highest collections in one day which is Rs.35. 91 crore. How important are these records for a star like you? Does this change anything?
Since it's a game I am ready to play it. We are all here for a purpose and I want to participate and enjoy the entire process from acting in a film to enjoying its success. These records reinstate your belief in yourself and your work.

What do you learn from what's written about your film? Good and bad!
If someone writes something about my work that's just his or her opinion, that's one person's opinion, it's not that opinion of the public. I respect what's written about my work good or bad and if there is something to learn from it then I do that.

What after Krrish 3?
Next I am starting a film with Katrina Kaif which is called Bang Bang which will be directed by Siddharth Anand. Just like its title, it will be a fun film. I will start that shoot soon.

With the kind of response Krrish 3 has got, there will obviously be a Krrish 4 right?
I already have an idea for Krrish 4, I haven't got the time to meet dad after the release of the film so once I meet him I will share my idea with him but I want to tell the audience Krrish 4 will be out there before you know it.

KRRISH Posted Huge Tuesday

Krrish 3' is completely in record shattering mode at the moment and film looks unstoppable at box office. Film has collected huge numbers in last two days after fairly good weekend.

Film has collected 26.71 cr nett on day 5 which is awesome. Film has shattered records in few circuits and now collected 134 cr nett plus in 5 days. Film will finish with 155 cr nett week one going by the trend unless film drops big today.

Film started well today too and it seems that even today on a working day, film will post double figure collection. Film is evening lifetime collection record of ''Chennai Express'' and that looks a realistic possibility.

This is real superhero stuff at box office!
