Fall is a cloth put at the bottom of Saree (Indian Female Garment) which is usually matched with the color of either the saree or blouse..

real answer

sarees have a lining stitched with cotton cloth all around the hem of saree

to weight it down and make it heavy.

that is called sarees 'fall'. when one purchases a saree, one has to

go to cloth shop and purchase a similar colour fall and petticoat,

and if the blouse material doesnot cone with the saree piece, one

has to buy material and get that stitched too.

maha headache. and after all this jhanjhat, theres the question of

draping. and you cant just throw a saree away into suitcase, you have

to hold iit up, stre e e e tch and fold it...yes the saree business is a

time consuming one😃

i know its a pain to drape sarees, but love it.

sarees over suits, lehengas any day!

I saw my mom stitching fall with the saris and she uses it to make the sari heavy so that it is heavy and falls to the ground. If Sonakshi hadent used the fall, her sari would have been blown away in the desert.
