Bebo gears up for time travel

With Karan Johar-Ekta Kapoor's Badtameez Dil postponed till next year, Kareena Kapoor is focussing on Karan Malhotra's Shuddhi. And Mirror has learnt that the actress will be sporting two different looks to by styled by Manish Malhotra.

A source told Mirror: "The film will be set in two different eras--one in the 1910s and the other in the 1960s. Kareena needs to lose some weight and tone up for the role and she is already undergoing vigorous training."

The film, touted as one of the most ambitious projects of Dharma Productions, is scheduled to go on floors in December.

The source added: "Manish has been given the mammoth task to recreate costumes of two eras. He has already started work on the 60s look. Bebo will be seen in traditional and modern clothes. Karan will first shoot portions of the 60's era and then go back in time. Manish is constantly in touch with Kareena about the look and she will do the look test as soon as she returns from Beirut."

Kareena returned to Mumbai yesterday and will soon fly to Beirut where Saif is shooting for Kabir Khan's next directorial.

I am so excited for the movie, mainly coz one of my fave Jodi's of hrithik and kareena are paired up again. However this story is really confusing me, and it seems it about reincarnation, which most of the time does not work in film.

The latest news is that she will be sporting two different avatars in this film and she will be going back in time for both the looks. Word is out that Shuddhi is set in two different eras and Kareena will be seen dressing to the styles of those ages. One of the two eras will be the 1960s and the other will go all the way back to the 1910s. A source tells us that Bebo has already started working hard to get a toned body for the movie in which she is cast opposite Hrithik Roshan. "Kareena needs to lose some weight and tone up for the role and she is already undergoing vigorous training," said the source. On the styling front, we have learnt that the 33-year-old actress will be styled by Bollywood's well-known designer Manish Malhotra. This designer who has worked with B-Town's biggest heroines has already begun his work on the 60s look. We know you are excited to see Kareena in her new avatars for Shuddhi. Another aspect that makes this movie one of the much awaited ones is the interesting casting of Kareena and Hrithik. The shooting for Shuddhi which will be directed by Karan Malhotra is said to begin from this December as the makers plan to release this film by Diwali next year. Do come back for more updates on the film.

This is the film I am awaiting the most and It's even more interesting that it revolves around reincarnation.
I enjoy films that are made on reincarnation, black magic, old culture, history etc. Also , we have great VFX technology now so it would be amazing to see such fiims.
