Ekta double standard with Sushant?

The year is 2011 and it seems all is not well between Ekta Kapoor and her protege, Sushant Singh Rajput. Sushant Singh Rajput quit her show Pavitra Rishta last month as he did not want to play an older character. This has definitely not gone down well with Ekta. At an event announcing the show's 20 year leap, Ekta said cuttingly, "Jo TV chhod dete hain, unhe TV chhod deti hai." (Those who leave TV should know that TV will leave them). A barb straight into Sushant's heart, perhaps?

She also refused to answer any question about Sushant and it did mean that Sushant Singh Rajput will end up being thrown out of Ekta's camp forever?

The year is 2013 and Sushant Singh Rajput is the latest flavour in town. His debut film has been a commercial success with critical acclaim, very few films can actually boast about this phenomenon. Sushant Singh in a recent interview stated that he would do a film with Ekta Kapoor, without even reading the script as he trusts her blindly.

At the launch of a magazine's cover featuring him, he said, "When I used to do theatre, then she (Ekta) was the first person who showed confidence in me and whatever I am today is because of her to a great extent".

Ekta too is extending her arm to Sushant, recently she invited him for a party hosted for the completion of 650 episodes of Pavitra Rishta, a party sadly he couldn't attend as he was busy shooting in Jaipur or so claims Ankita Lokhande.

What transpires is that the person who has been left by tv is now being welcomed by Ekta, Double standards wouldn't you say?
