The makers had approached Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha to be a part of their upcoming film Welcome Back.
While Big B was offered the role of RDX (played by late actor Feroz Khan in Welcome), Rekha was apparently approached to portray a wealthy fashionista in the film. The director says, "I want to work with Amitabhji and Rekhaji. She has said yes to the role but I still have to meet her and discuss it. I haven't met them yet. Rekhaji is a fine actress and I always wanted to work with her.
