what's with this forum's obsession with Deepika? just when you think you've read enough about her supposed brilliance, you see a million more threads like these. 😆

I don't even like JWM or Geet's character (I know I'm the minority here), but I can never in my right state of mind imagine Deepika pulling that one off. She would've hammed her way through it.

Of course, why just Geet, Dpad can also do Omkara, Talaash, Chameli, Devdas, DDLJ, Barfi, Saat Khoon Maaf, Kaminey, etc etc.

Yes, same here. All I remember from JWM that Kareena acted good for the first time after seeing her acting OTT in the previous movies of Hers I saw, but Geet was not her best performance IMO. It was good, but not the best & may be because it was long ago and I was little lol so don't remember more. However, Kareena's best performance was in Talaash I saw. She overshadowed AK too in some scenes which is hard for actress to overshadow him. I loved her there and became her fan, but this forum always talks about Geet & many I guess don't see her role in Talaash the best or they haven't watched the movie. 😕 As for DP, she can't do Geet. It will be weird seeing her acting a bubbly character.

What's with these hypothetical threads? 🥱And no, I can't see Kat(lmao) or Deepika pulling off Geet. They can't match Kareen's talent & charisma.

I think DP and Kat might do the depressed part of JWM..but Kareena was a complete natural in the comedy and bubbly parts of JWM. Katrina tried being bubbly in MBKD but she was cringe worthy. I don't think I have seen DP play a bubbly character but I highly doubt she would be as natural as Bebo.

PC is a good actress but comedy and bubbly characters are not her strength. In the beginning of AA she tried the bubbly act but she failed at it. Even in Zanjeer I think she was suppose to play this bubbly character but Anupama Chopra bashed her acting and said she was trying hard to act cute. And that her performance was childish or something like that!

All of these recent Deepika vs the world posts reminds me of the days when BW forum was plagued with ARK vs the world posts.

Nothing changes here.

Answer: No. Only b/c Kareena was born to play that part. Like Rani was born for Black, Aishwarya for Jodha, Priyanka for Jhilmil, Vidya for TDP, etc. I'm pretty sure Deepika is going to be nothing less than phenomenal as Leela and one day we'll ge posts like: so-and-so can do a Leela like Deepika?, etc.
