Very Good !!!
Summary : To terminate the review, R... Rajkumar is a massy album with major focus on dance numbers that will enable Shahid to showcase his dazzling dancing on Prabhu Deva's whacky choreography. This album is quite unlike Pritam but at the end he delivers on the demands and expectations.

Prabhu Deva, who is known to churn out massy blockbusters (Wanted, Rowdy Rathore) is returning back to the genre once again with R... Rajkumar after a moderately successful Ramaiya Vastavaiya. Shahid Kapoor gets to play to the gallery for the 1st time in his career and there is a fresh pairing in form of Sonakshi Sinha to watch out for.
EXPECTATIONS
Prabhu Deva was chasing Pritam since a long to get him on board to compose music for his films, now with Shahid Kapoor coming into the picture, Pritam is back too (Pritam has composed music for majority of Shahid's films). Shahid-Pritam combo has 100% strike rate, so expectation are inevitably quite high.
REVIEW
Gandi Baat' has been creating ripples since its promo went on Air. Pritam comes with a tune that's quite reminiscent with the dance numbers down south, with a gem of a dancer in Shahid, this number is meant to exploit his skills to the core. Mika's singing is exuberant that is aptly matched by husky vocals of Kalpana Patowary and together they take the song to another level. A dance dhamaka. It has a film version sung by Nakash Aziz and Ritu Pathak which does not match up to the 1st version.
The next song Saree Ke Fall Sa' has a captivating beginning with a melodious tune. Composition uses Violins, Dhols to full extent to create another arresting number sung by Nakash Aziz and Antara Mitra who are in top notch form. Lyrics are quite silly but the catchy tune with vibrant energy throughout, lyrics hardly matters. Another song where Shahid's exploits will be used to hilt by Prabhu Deva.
Mat Maree' is quite a different song which mainly focuses on crosstalk between the lead pair. Song starts with accordion sound along with Sunidhi yelling Aey Kutte, Idiot' and you start wondering where the song is headed. It's more of a fun song with some hilarious lyrics. Kunal Ganjawala marks his comeback to Bollywood playback singing after a hiatus and is thoroughly enjoying himself. Composition is nothing great but compliments the funny ambiance.
Dhokha Dhadi' brings the much needed thehrav' in the album which till now was filled with massy dance tracks and gibberish lyrics. With Guitar & Violin tunes, the listener enters the Pritam's melody zone. This composition by Pritam is quite gentle onto ears and lines penned by Nilesh Mishra beautifies and alleviate the song. Arijit Singh is at his usual best with Palak's cute voice complimenting him. This tracks stands out in the crowd.
Finally the album ends with Kaddu Katega', an item song that tries to match Prabhu Deva's southern sensibilities with Pritam's north style music and we get a fusion of a track. The beats are too fast and composition is noisy with little bit of folksy touch. Antara Mitra who also sang Saree Ka Fall' does a fantabulous job as she sounds very different in this number, she deserves applauds. The item song will work during course of the film.
To terminate the review, R... Rajkumar is a massy album with major focus on dance numbers that will enable Shahid to showcase his dazzling dancing on Prabhu Deva's whacky choreography. This album is quite unlike Pritam but at the end he delivers on the demands and expectations.
