The ending was fair in my opinion cause its better to walk away from bad marriage than stay in one and go through pain and suffering.Sure rhea and rishi loved their spouses buh love is not enough to sustain a relationship,there has to be understanding between eachother,like dev and maya did.Thats why they were drawn to one another.One has to go through similar situation in life to have a better understanding.

I didnt like the ending too.... it was the typical hindi movie ending... the hero has to end up with the heroine....
they should have had Shah rukh n rani both going separate ways and live their life because in a way they both were feeling guilty for what they did to their respective partners......

Karan made it realistic (not just them randomly living happily ever after after cheating n w/e...) but actually spending 3 yrz alone and miserable..and hten finally being happy...after punishment.

The point is that they did suffer for what they did. They spent 3 years alone and miserable while their ex-spouses moved on. SRK suffered more because he didn't get to live with his son and his own mother who chose to stay with Preity. If that isn't punishment what else is?

he also deserved it like that.. gosh how c an a man and woman do like this 😕

I thought both the love making seens were horible...i felt so sorry for abi...(me and my cousin saw it together and we both agreed that rani looked like a dead person just lying there..lol)i would have like the movie better if abi and preeti ended up together...i mean preeti is shown like she is going to be with arjun at the end...and i thought that was radiculous i mean he was like i doesn't matter to me if ur married, or something like that at the beginning of the movie.(i saw a very poor downloaded version)and abi gets with some katrina girl... they should have gotten together... look....abi in the movie wants a child and rani cant give him one...srk treats his child miserably so... preeti already had a child and rani cant have a child so both the guys could have been happy...I just really wanted abishek and preeti together.. 😭

I too agree with the ending. It was realistic, I mean first showing Shahrukh and Rani sacrifice their love, was bit hindi movie masala, becoz in real life anywhere in the world, you can see people leaving their spouses for love. The only thing I felt was not true is that trying to confess thinking that your spouse will forgive :) But the ending is realistic.
