Satyagraha Drops Further On Tuesday

Satyagraha dropped further on Tuesday as it collected around 3.50-3.75 crore nett. A 10-15% drop is normal for Tuesday but with a low Monday, Satyagraha had to hold much better to have any chance at the box office.

The collections for five days are 42 crore nett with the week is looking at a close of 48 crore nett. The weekday trend suggest a difficult ride for the film after week one and a likely finish of around 60 crore nett which would be the same as One Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara! released two weeks back.

The film will record better collections in North and Central markets but still well short of what a big film should do. In Maharashtra, East and South the film has fared poorly.

Amitabh Bachchan and Ajay Devgn starrer Satyagraha continued to perform well in its 1st Tuesday with the film's collections for the day being estimated in the range of 4.30 crores approx. With thatSatyagraha has moved closer to crossing the 50 crore mark as the film's collections summed up to48.40 crores at the domestic box office.

i just watched this movie yesterday. i would say, it didnt live up to my expectations. the script is not strong and one can easily predict what is going on. spoiler alert*audience can easily predict the death sequence of akilesh that it is planned and not caused by accident.*

AB's character is inspired by anna hazare, doing hunger strikes and demanding justice against corruption everything reminds us anna hazare. he got more screen space in this movie. He is the one who holds this film in his shoulder.Kareena is wasted in this movie. wish they gave her strong role to perform. Ajay's role is not convincing. and amrita she just stand behind AB and cries everytime. Manoj's acting is good. liked him in negative role.

over all the movie is a one time watch.

it will earn 75 cr..easily...rest of the income will come from tv rights..it will be no loss to proudcers.. they will earn little bit

distributors income decides the verdict!! producer always earn sth if the they sell the movie before release!!!

'Satyagraha' crosses Rs. 50 crore mark

Prakash Jha's 'Satyagraha' has collected Rs. 50 crore at the box office in the first six days of its release. The filmmaker says he is "delighted" and "humbled" with the response to his film.

"Satyagraha is a film for the people and of the people of the country. The audiences have given us their acceptance and love. I'm happy that for a film like Satyagraha, we are reaching these milestones and the film is growing from strength to strength," Jha told media.

Satyagraha released on Aug 30. It garnered around Rs. 51.92 crore till Wednesday night.

The political thriller features actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Amrita Rao and Manoj Bajpayee.
