It seems that Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer Chennai Express is going to be tough competition for films which have managed to make a record for themselves.

The Independence Day collection has reached an amount of 19.60 cr in India which has surely benefited the film at the box office. Rohit Shetty's Chennai Express has reached the top 4 all time grosser films.

With 3 Idiots on the top with 202.47 cr box office earnings, Ek Tha Tiger made business of 198.78 cr. Deepika's Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani registered a number of 188.57 cr at the box office, whileanother Dip's film Chennai Express is not much behind with an amount of 156.70 cr box office report.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#ChennaiExpress reaches the 4th spot in all-time grossers[India] list."

It will be interesting to see whether SRK's Chennai Express breaks Aamir Khan and Salman's numbers and hit the number one position in the list.

Milan Luthria's OUATIM Dobaara didn't get rave reviews and has disappointed many critics.

Despite, average reviews and a tough competition from Shahrukh Khan's Chennai Express, this sequel to Ajay Devgn-Emraan Hashmi starrer Once Upon A Time In Mumbaaihas managed to earn 12 crore at day one.

Chennai Express made a box office record of 33.12 cr on its opening day. Amusingly, SRK'sChennai Express earned 19.60 cr on its first day of second week (15th August), while on the same day (first day of release) Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara earned 12 cr.
There were constant comparisons between the King Khan and Khiladi Kumar making it big on silver screen. Director Milan too postponed his release date to avoid clash with the Badshah of Bollywood. However, it seems that Chennai Express' unstoppable success will surely cut down on the speed of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara.
