Honestly, when I say this, I mean it..I probably would not have enjoyed the movie as much had DP not been a part of it. Yes, SRK's star power is undeniable but this is one "massy" movie where the actress was provided just as much screen time as the actor. I've never really acknowledged DP's "star power" but if I still don't, then I'd be termed delusional. She's bankable, she generates curiosity, and most of all she generates strong reactions (off screen or on screen) which means people do care enough to notice her. Also she's a treat to sore eyes. Alright, I'm done fawning over her.

Why the movie worked?

1) Eid fell on a Friday and CE was a solo release.
2) Rohit-DP-SRK
3) Good enough promotion but they did not overexpose their product (like RA 1)
4) Entertaining film with good repeat value
