Cocktail was not a hit bcoz of saif..
He did not have much to do in the movie.. Deepika and Diana did a better job..

I dont remember saif being praised for his role !

Its very rare when critics praise actress in presence of a superstar...which Deepika got in CE..she also stole the thunder for many in YJHD
She may not be the perfect,but she's trying to become one.She didn't do flowerpot roles and have equal role as of an actor in a movie.
She have the potential to become versatile if she tries really hard.+the commercial success she's getting...she is also currently media and most of the ppl's favorite so right now she is Numero Uno...
Right now,everyone is going through thinking that RL will be flop..just like everyone thought for CE..but RL hit bhi ho sakti hai.

Agar itne successful films and good reviews ke baad bhi Deepika aint a NO. 1 heroine then dunno what will make her one 😆

Dpad is the most lucky,diverse and star actress in Bollywood. She is in every sector a diamond wishing her all the ebst.

She's up there but until she can prove that she can bring people to the theatres just to watch her, like Kat can, she won't be the undisputed number 1. Again she has nothing in her kitty other than Ram Leela, and that will make her or break her.

She is okay! Maybe, she is number 1 in amount of films she gets but in terms of her acting, it still hasn't drastically improved! Considering the amount of films she does, she had so many chances to improve herself. but with the exception of her performance in cocktail, she is still inconsistent at best. I liked her in the first half of YJHD, but then she was decent in the second half. She really needs to work on her emotional scenes, she can't emote emotions very well. I haven't seen her in chennai express and going by the reviews, maybe she was good. but, that only shows that she can do some roles well, yet at the same time lack in other roles. So, to only reiterate my point, she is inconsistent at best and definitely not that great of an actress. Maybe, I'm being harsh, but in comparison to the top actresses in the generation before hers, she is no where near their talent. Just my opinion, no need to jump at me deepika fans. I give credit where it's due and if this is what I feel for her acting then there is not much you can say to change it. :)

im not saying ppl go watch the film solely for her but shes definately a pulling factor...she wasnt 5 years ago...but today, ppl have really warmed up to her...shes getting more popular and is developing a fanbase amongst most sections of the audience...youth, males, auntys, uncles, kids...i can speak for my family because Dpad is the only current heroine my mum, grandparents, brother, dad, me and my bua dunt mind watching...😆

My dad and grandparents hate PC, my mum cant watch katrina or kareena, my brother hates vidya, my bua dosent like anushka or kareena and i dunt like PC or sonam...

Dpad is the only one who cuts across all of us...😆
