like one member pointed out, u need a certain charisma...
i know they have experience in facing the camera but bollywood is a different game altogether today. almost every film today has a kissing scene n lots more. are they willing to do all that? their personal lives (ahem ahem wives) can get hectic, i've read articles on that loadz of times. a simple hug or kiss on the cheek or forehead with a co-star n scandals are started, issues of insecurity arise etc etc
maybe if we were back in the 90s they would have had a chance.
just my opinion😊

Agree with u completely. They suit in TV more. Moreover some of them r famous for their character role on the screen... Like Barun as ASR, GC as Maan , KSG as Arman/Asad...Its their character that made them famous...

Infact he turned to TV only after failing in films.

I think he was decent to at least get character roles! Too bad he couldn't make it.

Iqbal I think has some inhibitions over certain things like not to play father, not comfortable with leaps...These things really don't go with TV actor specially when u r no longer a fresher or young...

LMAO😆 ... Where is the N.O.N.E Option????

1) Sobti can't can't to save his life through all his mumbling... Plus his unkempt hairy image is just 🤢 ... He has zilch PR skills and answers "I don't know" to all his questions... His oiliness fails to impress... And, I don't think his D-Grade film will ever release

2) Grover's BW ship has already sinked.. He is way to old to debut and is too short for BW... That ain't for him... Besides, he has problems with "kissing" scenes, fingers-touching, etc,,, and his photographic memory doesn't allow him to do such things🤣 ... (oh, the irony)

3) Goormeet ... Ummm... The less said, the better... Tai Ching ain't gonna cut it for him in BW..

4) Vivian >>>> When did he ever act????😕😆 He needs to first come out of his stone faced Desi Cullen mode and learn the art of ACTING before we can go any further...

5) Arjun>>> So who is he again and what are his accomplishments???? I think that guy left acting because he realized it ain't taking him anywhere

There's a reason why all the tv actors only do tv shows: it's because they're tailor made for that. Our regressive Indian shows require the hero to be (rich, silent, brooding, angry, lone wolf) or (poor, hardworking, loving family man). None of the two combos necessarily require much to emote, a constipated expression, few stare sessions, a couple million wall pin ups and viola you're a tv soap king. These actors barely take their roles seriously, and if they do then they should stop. Sushant has been the only one since SRK and Vidya to break the stereotype and cross the barrier. Also why would Bollywood invest in a Telly soap actor?..since all of their novelty as been worn off, thanks to the daily 23 min of garbage that's aired on tv five times a week. There's no excitement left, and they've been overexposed to death by the time the actors are done playing one character. Also the audience is so in love with the characters the tv actors play, they can't even after a point tell the actor apart from the character. In Bollywood, offscreen personality is equally important as onscreen one but the tv actors majorly lack in the former department. Please, KSG, Gurmeet would jump on to the idea of being a Bollywood actor the minute they're offered something (no, Bhojhpuri movies don't count)..the fact that they're being "traditional Indian men" in their limited interviews should let y'all know no producers are lining outside their door.

Neil Bhatt, Viraf Patel, the Rishta.com guy, Mahdev guy, Mishal Raheja are good options to consider though. At least they look better than choosa hua aam Sushant.

Mohit Raina is pretty fab. And he seems to be a dedicated actor who gets into the skin of the character, and is easy on the eyes too.

the rest are all below average in my opinion.

The bolded line is so very true.

My mother watches all the popular TV shows and bollywood movies. However she doesnt know the name of a single TV actor or actress. She refers to them by the name of their characters. So Ronit Roy is still Mr Bajaj and Smiriti is still Tulsi to my mom.

Kunal Kapoor (from NBTNMK) is a really good actor...
Dont know whether he will fit the norms of a conventional bwood "hero" ...
but times are changing .. and the industry seems to be a bit more welcoming towards different kinds of actors..

Havent watched too many episodes of LTL .. but I liked Mishal Raheja in it. He is a fine actor with a strong screen presence.
