Starting this month, we would be beginning this EXCLUSIVE feature that would list Top 5 Actress in Bollywood.

• The list would be based on the box office outcome of their last five movies
• Only lead roles would be considered. Cameos, special appearances and guest appearances won't be taken under consideration
• Dated movies won't be taken under consideration
• In case of two superstars having equal number of winning and losing affairs, overall box office collections of their five movies would be taken into account
• Only domestic box office performance is being taken into account
• An exception may be considered if a superstar may not meet above criteria but ends up delivering bigger successes

Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Ek Tha Tiger, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, Zindagi Naa Milegi Dobara, Tees Maar Khan

Just like Salman Khan, even Katrina Kaif is an epitome of consistency. She has scored, and her wins have been big. With each of her last five films gathering in excess of 50 crores each at the box office, she now also has one century (Jab Tak Hai Jaan), one near century (Zindagi Naa Milegi Dobara ) and one near double century (Ek Tha Tiger) to her name. With 'Dhoom 3', expect Katrina to sign off the year too with style.

Being in the know-how of business more than anyone else, she may have had a one off 'Agent Vinod' to bring a spanner in her record. However, Kareena has been enjoying author backed parts in majority of films. In 'Satyagraha', she is the only female superstar amidst a mole dominated powerhouse cast. Later in the year she should be taking care of the glamour zone though with 'Gori Tere Pyaar Mein'.

Kahaani, The Dirty Picture, No One Killed Jessica, Ishqiya, Paa

Though her 'Paa' and 'Ishqiya' weren't huge grossers, they were successes nonetheless and brought in quite some credibility to Vidya as an actress. Big money did come in with 'The Dirty Picture' while 'Kahaani' is the second highest grosser (after 'Talaash') when it comes to the suspense genre. Nevertheless, she was the hero in 'Kahaani' and her excellent overall record is what further goes in her favour.

Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Race 2, Cocktail, Desi Boyz, Aarakshan

It was only a matter of time before Deepika consolidated her place in the Top 5. Now, she is just one win away from stepping into the Top 2 zone. With four back to back successes, if she scores with 'Chennai Express' (which definitely appears to be the case), she would come in breathing distance of Katrina. As of now though, she is basking in the glory of 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' which is closing in on the 190 crores mark.

Dabangg 2, Son of Sardaar, Joker, Rowdy Rathore, Dabangg

If not for a 'Joker' in the middle of her stint so far, Sonakshi Sinha would have managed an impeccable record of continued successes for a newcomer. From 'Dabangg' to 'Dabangg 2', she has four major successes to her name, each of them netting over 100 crores at the box office. She may be cornered for the length of her role in most of these films but eventually, what matters most is a hit under an actor's belt.
