Excuse me, but you are very IGNORANT. There are bad people in every religion and culture. I have friends one who is hindu and one who muslim who were in a very bad abusive relationship. One miscarried because her husband beat her so bad, but you cannot go around blaming the entire religion for one bad apple. Look at the terrorists, it doesn't mean that everyone from their religion is a terrorist.

I come from a sikh family and have an older brother who treats me and his wife like a princess. He never even yells at us and is the first to go help a pregnant lady carry her bags. So please refrain from labeling an entire religion.

I appreciate the fact that she comes out from such a disgraceful marriage. however, i have a little problem about Indian women still trying to cope up with failed marriages due to the pressure of society. especially those who are independent and have money. she should have gone out much earlier, reason - she would have experienced far less torture, humiliation and insult. one should never wait for a miracle in this case.

I don't think its only the Indian Women, I think it's EVERY woman. I have friends who went through abusive marriages and I have asked the same question, but all they say is that it's easier said then done.

Yookta was brave enough to leave him, my one friend's brother discovered her black and blue state by accident and forced her out of the marriage. I wish Yookta all the best and may she put this loser in jail!

I was shocked to read this interview!!
Dint know even educated n rich guys can be this creepy!!
I m glad yukta came out of this marrg and has the guts to stand up for herself n her baby!!
n i hope her In-laws n husband r put in jail for such treatment!!
At least she has shown good guts here! and watever she spoke..blv me ...this actually happens!!
i myself was almost abt to get into such a marrg myself and the only reasoning i was given is that the guy is rich n educated so...he wont cross a limit..
i told my mom honestly that physically a guy is more powerful and in case he starts physically hurting me..i wont be able to do anything!! thats when my mom also realised the situation and called off the marrg 😃 i m SO glad she did that for me!! else no one in relatives was supporting us!
Before getting into marrg,..one shud look for such signals..I did and thats y i was saved...but i can understand when girls ignore such things..1 of my frnd ignored such signals and is now stuck in a very bad marrg and doesnt even want to come out of it coz of societal stigma!! 🤢🤢
