Oh right, Katrina is the first choice for every film. Why do other actresses even bother? 😒

Anyways, about Deepika, good luck to her. Let's see how CE and Ram Leela do and then we'll see if she's number one. I hope all this early number one talk doesn't jinx things for her.

Well she's up there already. It's inevitable.
There's a rise of a new heroine every nth number of years.

2007 was the rise of Kareena and Katrina.

In 2008 it was Priyanka's rise.
2011 was all about Vidya Balan.

2 years later, now its Deepika.

I knew about Katrina rejecting YJHD, but CE and Ram Leela? Kareena was the prior choice to Deepika, not Katrina. Idk about CE. 😕

Its true about YJHD. RL was declined by Kareena. But CE I dont think was declined by Kareena or Katrina after seeing the promos. Only a SI could have done the role. So I do believe they might have also had Asin in mind if not Deepika.

I predict Sonakshi will be up there soon. The girl's blown everyone away with her performance in Lootera and she's got everyone's attention.

Competition is tough, cut throat, and it's not as difficult to rise to the top as it is to stay there.

Kat and Bebo have done it for 6 years. Lets see if they hold onto it in the coming years.

Bebo's last release was almost a year ago, Talaash. Nov. 2012.

I agree.Its not easy to be number 1 with so many new and younger actresses in the picture.They too are doing extremely well. I would wait for Ram Leela's fate to decide if Deepika should be crowned number one other wise Sonakshi has a HUGE chance to steal that tag away from her :)

If Deepika keeps on going like this with commercial and artsy(KHJJS) movies,Sonakshi will soon shed some pounds and clothes. Not possible to consistently get author backed roles and she might loose all glamorous roles to DPad.

Be silent my heart. Is she the standard for number 1? :O *ulti* I saw that shitfest of a movie Jawaani Deewani for Aditya Kapoor and it was pain staking to put up with it. She has done nothing extraordinary to be initiated with that title. Right now it's anyone's game: Alia, Pari, Sonam, Sonakshi, Anushka, Shraddha, and the remaining others are on the same plane.

Performance? Since when does an actress have to do something extraordinary to be crowned top actress? Remember Katrina? 😆

Depends.

Priyanka has Mary Kom film and an international album.

Katrina has Dhoom 3 and Bang Bang with Hrithik.

Kareena has a Balaji-Dharma film opposite Emran Hashmi and two pukeworthy immediate projects. The Hashmi film and supposedly Shuddhi are 2014 releases.
