Bachchan launches his maiden TV production with Anurag Kashyap as creative director.Mirror broke the story of his small-screen venture in February

It was in 2010,that Anurag Kashyap had lashed out against Amitabh Bachchan,accusing him of calling up the producer of Chittagong,to postpone the release in order to safeguard Abhishek Bachchans film on the same subject.
But that acrimony is truly a thing of the past.Not only did Bachchan invite Anurags crew to shoot at his bungalow for Bombay Talkies,earlier,when Steven Spielberg came to town,the veteran actor introduced him as the face of new Indian cinema.
The bonhomie reached a new high last evening,when Anurag came on board Bachchans fiction project for televison as creative director.
It was here that you first read about Bachchans big TV designs (Bachchan to shine as daily star,February 13).Last evening,the actor officially launched the show,a fiction series on social issues that will go on floors in December.He is slated to act in the series as well.
At the time of going to press,Bachchan was interacting with the media,talking about the show that will be co-produced by Endemol and his company Saraswati Productions.
"I have always wanted to work with Anurag,"said Bachchan,adding that they spent long hours discussing what kind of project to embark on,till they decided to focus on television.
While Bachchan's successful stint as the host of KBC continues,this will be the first time that he will be involved in creating content for the medium.
Shoot will start by the end of the year.
