It was really sad and unfortunate to hear about Jiah's death. This one reminded me of the tragic divya bharti's death, however divya's case has always remained a mystery no one knew whether it was brutal murder or a suicide. I pray and hope the same thing doesn't happen in jiah's case, i hope the people responsible for her death are punished . May her soul rest in peace.

I don't think it will surpass suicide season when major board exam and entrance exam results come out.

It is easy to say "suicide is cowardly'. I'd dare people to say that to the parent of a teenage kid who committed suicide after years and being harassed and bullied. I'd dare people to tell a parent that their kid is the "coward" not the bully. [Unrelated to Jiah Khan, I know. But until we are actually inside a person's head, we are in no place to know what they suffered or how they felt. We cannot say with cocky confidence that we would be stronger in their shoes. Who knows, if we were in their place, we may have committed suicide way earlier]

thats the easy way out ! fight the problems...no one in this world is problem free and there is a solution to everything but givin up is surely not one in my opinion 👎🏼

dont we all get depress??no one is free from hardships..that is life... if u cn restrict urself from fallin into it , then only its commendable but doing drugs and then endin ur life is just absurd on so many levels 🤢🤢

I get where you're coming from. I really do.
I don't think "suicide is cowardly" but I do think "suicide ain't the solution."
Being bullied, harassed and pressurized is traumatic. But I think getting help from psychiatrists, counsellors and anti-ragging cell authorities will help them.
No, the trauma will not go away completely. It never can. But therapy and family support will definitely make it better. At least to the extent of not letting people throw their lives away.

Some of my friends from IF were discussing about this and they brought up a very valid point.
In India, there is a severe stigma associated with approaching Psychiatrists for help. Parents think only "mad/mental" (I don't know if this is the right word) people visit the Psychiatrist. That is definitely not the case.
And sometimes children don't speak up to their parents about what's bothering them, cause it's uncool.

Yes, every person's ability to deal with pressure is different. Some are more fragile than others.I just wish/hope that people ask for help when they need it. And I hope the society we live in becomes more tolerant and gives the required help instead of looking over their newspapers and throwing random comments.

I was shocked to hear this. Jiah was just 25. Sad. RIP

Divya Bhartis death is still a mystery. People still dont know whether it was a suicide, accident or Murder.
