Ayushmann Khurrana's dream of working with Imtiaz Ali was recently shattered when the director didn't sign him for his next film, Highway. Yes, you heard right. According to the grapevine, the newcomer was so keen on working with Imtiaz that he went and met the director the minute the film was announced. Unfortunately for the actor, Imtiaz wanted someone with a rugged and macho look and so Randeep Hooda was cast in the lead role. But all hope is not lost for Ayushmann just yet. Our source further adds that though Imtiaz didn't sign the newcomer, he loved his approach and even promised to work with him in the future.
