Akshay Kumar feels no competition against Shahrukh Khan

Lately, the media had been abuzz about Akshay Kumar starrer Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again and Shahrukh Khan's Chennai Express gearing up to give tough competition to each other at the box office as both the movies have reportedly been scheduled for a release on the same day, i.e., on Eid this year. However, Akshay Kumar does not seem to agree with the same.

Chennai Express and OUATIMA belong to different genres and Akshay believes that both the films would be able to do well despite releasing on the same date. "I see it positively. Eid is such a big day that it can accommodate both films. There is nothing to think about", said the Khiladi Kumar at OUATIMA's trailer launch event. The event was a grand affair. The venue had especially been themed as per the 50s and 60s era in which the film has been set.

Apparently, the film's trailer shows certain characters indulging in betting owing to which Akshay has been flooded with questions about these portions from the film being linked with the ongoing spot fixing controversy. However, the actor has denied any connection between the two stating, "He is just a character in a film. Please don't connect it to anything else. You should see it as a film, nothing else".

As a part of the film's promotion Akshay also features in a special clip that is aimed at restricting mobile phone usage in theaters. "The clip sees Shoaib, my character in the film, requesting the audience to restrict mobile use", said Akshay. Out on 31st May, this message would run in PVR and Cinemax until the film's release.
