Vaaranam Aaayiram is a great choice !!!!

I donno how to say this...but I think bollywood mainstream actors lack the relatability factor with common Indians...

Surya is the man!!

He is the definition of a complete actor! Can do masala flicks such as Ayan, Aadhavan, and the intense acting ones such as Ghajini, Vaaranam Aayiram, and even some sci fi flicks such as 7aum Arivu.

Completely agreed, all starts with Amitabh Bachchan, the angry young man that is unlike most common people, SRK the evergreen romantic that every girls wants but will never meet, Salman and Hrithik, the handsome hulks that you dont meet even at your local gyms.

I wanna see Traffic, Arya 2, Vaaranam Aayiram (tho I doubt anyone would be able to do justice to it), Engeyum Eppodhum, Vettaiyadu Vellaiyadu

Traffic was great !!!!

Vettaiyadu Vellaiyadu will work too...

Engeyum Eppothum...again is too "Common Indian" for Bollywood...

Bollywood is always rich Indians or interesting indians...or poor crime driven Indian...there is very very less common Indian...like Khosla ki Ghosla or Do Dooni chaar...

Oh I love Surya. What an awesome actor. Loved his Ghajini better than Aamir's. Though the ending in Tamil was much more gory!

Currently obsessed with this.

I'm not a fan of South remakes since I prefer the original South movies to the Hindi versions
