Aaradhya is still young. She needs her parents around her. We can't expect Aishwarya to come back soon. A film is highly demanding in every way. Given her age and responsibilities I wonder Aish can even take on the burden of doing a movie.
MD and Kajol also did not return to movies soon. And Sridevi's case is known to all. She chose to devote all 15-16 years to her kids' upbringing.
Usually actresses wait till their kids are at least in kindergarten.
Nowadays stakes are higher. Nobody knows if makers of "big films" even want to work with older actresses or not. There is demand for fresh faces even among heroes and senior actors are also finding it increasingly tough to sustain their position in top rungs. For actresses it's even tougher.
Aish, for all her iconic stature, may not exactly have producers lined up outside her house waiting for her to say Yes to a film.
And none of these superstarnis want to play mummies or bhabhis. It's a challenge to find the right script.
A VB is doing films but then she does all sorts of scenes without any qualms.
Being Bachchan Bahu Aishwarya will not want to do any intimate scenes or item songs too. (She has freedom but not the kind that MD and Kajol had. The Bachchans hover around her all the time!)
She'd have refused a film like Fanaa (that had a love making scene and had heroine become an unwed mother). She would definitely not be with the hero throughout in promotional tours for the film the way Kajol was with SRK during MNIK promotional tours. The promotion of Jodhaa Akbar was too cold. HR-Aish barely had appearances together. Even in Robot press conferences Amitabh would accompany Aish!
I doubt if she is even the sole in-charge of her career now!
Heck! Even after her baby's birth it was her FIL who was carrying it outside the hospital!
Such "family considerations" are precisely what prevent big filmmakers from signing married actresses.
Bachchans would either want Abhishek or Amitabh cast in same film as her. And who cares for Abhi-Ash jodi?
I feel while making a comeback Aish should take inspiration from likes of Sridevi and Vidya Balan in choice of films than make mistakes that MD has made. Kajol is a great example but I doubt if Aish has the freedom to choose roles like those.
Her comeback looks like a not so easy deal. I also feel it's better to wait and dabble in ads etc. than do some useless film and spoil one's reputation.
