"But I would accept comedy roles or even play an insane person. I always enjoyed Govinda's sense of humour and am dying to do a David Dhawan comedy, but no one has offered me a role like that. I have always done mature roles right from Kaho Na Pyar Hai, Gadar to Mangal Pandey," she adds. Her secret desire is to perform spunky characters like Wonder Woman. About the bad press treatment she gets, Amisha says, "I don't know why I have always been misquoted. Even during the shooting of Aap Ki Khatir there were rumours that I could not get along well with Priyanka. In fact, we became such good friends that we couldn't stay apart. We were always playing around and laughing. Director Dharmesh Darshan wanted to shoot a serious scene and he had to keep us apart for the whole day." "Amisha is a romantic at heart," believes Priyanka. "When we were shooting in Europe she used to go to the lake sit and count the swans over there. She is very much the woman in love and one can see that," she adds. Does that mean we're going to hear wedding bells for Amisha soon? "Not in another 10 years and only when I am ready for it will I let the whole world know. Right now, I am enjoying my work. I have great films on the floors and I am looking forward to them. There's Dharmesh Darshan's Aap Ki Khatir, a film the youth can relate to since it touches upon sibling rivalry. He understands his audience and this movie is a total paisa wasool. Then there's Farhan Akhtar's Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd. I play a character who is completely obsessed with films. There's lots of scope for comedy. Also, it's totally what I am like in real life," she points out. |
