| John as Rockstar!
John Abraham might have a bright future in career to look forward to. The model- turned- actor has recently been roped in by UTV for both their forthcoming films. One project is with the kids winning the John Aur Kaun? contest. Besides this, the other movie is Rockstar by Imtiaz Ali. Going by the talks heard in the industry, the film promises to be the 'Rang De Basanti' of 2007. The lead actress has not been zeroed upon but talks are on of getting a big name in it. As for the actor, John has already started taking guitar classes to prepare for his character for the love story. With A R Rahman composing the music, the movie is expected to go on floors in October. Director Ali wants to focus on Rockstar currently due to which his other film with Bobby Deol and Ayesha Takia has been put on hold. < name=></>

| | Kumar Gaurav comes back mum! If anyone can recall Pushpak today for one thing, it would definitely be the manner of making the film. The silent film created waves across the country and was an instant hit all over India due to absence of any language barrier. After that, silent films have rarely been attempted in Hindi cinema. However, there is someone who wishes to take up the challenge once again of making a film without sound. Son of actor Bharat Kapoor, Rahul Kapoor, will probably mark his directorial venture with a silent film. Titled My Daddy Strongest, the film will have Kumar Gaurav making a comeback as the lead actor. British actress Tanny Jones stars opposite him. Eventually a comedy film, the film deals with the wish of a 13 yr old boy who wants his father to be the strongest. Director Kapoor reveals that he wanted to experiment something different and therefore came up with a silent movie. With more than 50% complete, the film is expected to release in December. A song might get recorded for promotional purposes. 3 down for Shaka Laka Boom Boom! Actress Menka Chopra was first seen in a cameo role in Suneel Darshan's Dosti. In another similar offer, she was supposed to play a cameo opposite Bobby Deol in the director's next titled Shaka Laka Boom Boom. But Chopra has now opted out of the film saying she is now looking forward to lead roles only. The actress clarified her reasons with the director and Darshan calmly understood her point of view. Initially, the film also starred Sanaa Panscholi and Isha Koppikar but even those two actresses walked out of the project. With the remaining cast of Bobby Deol, Upen Patel, Kangana Ranaut and Celina Jaitley, the film is currently under production.
Tusshar- Ayesha together on screen! Producer N R Pachisia's next and directed by Lovely Singh, Kya Love Story Hai will for the first time get Tusshar Kapoor and Ayesha Takia as the lead pair. Tusshar's debut film, Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai, was also directed by Singh. The love story involves a triangle where the third corner is played by a newcomer Karan (of the Pepsi ad with Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra). While Tusshar essays the role of a guy who gets serious in life, Ayesha is a college student. Director Singh is currently on lookout for locations in Singapore and Bangkok to start shooting by September. It was a surprising coincidence that Ekta Kapoor's film was also titled the same and that too with Tusshar and Ayesha to be directed by Satish Kaushik. With no links between the two movies, Ekta willingly gave up the title for her brother.

| Today on 29th July, the macho man and adorable actor of Bollywood, Sanjay Dutt turns 47. In the great Munnabahi spirit we give him a 'jaadu ki jhappi' and wish him a fantastic Happy Birthday from the team of MIO. He has lead a rock star's life in true sense, have seen it all and done it all. Drugs, two failed marriages, been to jail twice, a pending court case, successful film career and missing his parents when he needed them the most! But like a true champion who has come through everything, he has no complaints with life whatsoever. Leading an enigmatic life for its dark thrill and poignancy, still Sanju has a special place in the hearts of every cinegoers. "My friends tell me that if I write my autobiography, it will be an international best seller," he says on a light note. His films make money, producers are happy with him and his co-stars and actors of the industry look up to him in awe and reverence. Even at 47 he is still going great. "Women don't find him hot. They either want to adopt me, as I look vulnerable. Or they wish to tie a Rakhi on his hands. Reformed drug addicts write to me too," he says. He has great plans for this year as 'Lage Raho Munnabhai' one of the most eagerly awaited films of the year will hit the screen soon. Also coming up is 'Anthony Kaun Hai'. He will also work in a Karan Johar production to be directed by Soham.
