Emraan is my favourite actor and if people want to make fun of him and put him down then that is their prerogative because I do not need to defend him, his work is doing that for him as well as his intelligence which shows through this interviews. I like how he did not pretend like he doesn't work for money, is answer reflected that like any other celebrity he too is money minded. He provided a simple equation as to why 100 cr movies are not all they are chalked up to be. It's obvious he is comfortable with what he does and is happy with his work

Emraan does films for money too. His sequels are examples of that. Murder 3 is not for the love of cinema but to get a Hit. But the reason he's praised is because he balances it with thoughtful films like Shanghai. Akshay is doing the same. Box office be damned. Films like Shanghai are done for the love of the art, rather than the love of the front benchers.

I am not against anyone doing a film like Shanghai... it is only that when u do films like Shanghai or Akki doing Special 26, those films don't work at Box Office & Those stars like Emraan in this interview is calling 100 cr films trashy cinema.

I mean who is stopping anyone 2 achieve 100 cr mark?? You make Intelligent films, Quality Cinema, Good u have audience, u have critics... Go n make 300 cr man... we aren't complaining if it did 10, 20 or 300 cr Box Office collection... then Why those ppl who can't make big with 100 cr MOCK those films??

You do Sex Scenes/Kissing n calling a 80 cr film better than those 100 cr films which doesn't have that kind of bullshit??? How does that thing work man??

I agree. Emraan has done a lot of trash too. Murder 2 is just as good/bad as any of the films he's talking about. Sex sells, masala sells. Nothing wrong with making money. He shouldn't comment on those films but at the same time I'm sure Emraan would be the first person to call his own hits trash too. He's just being honest, not malicious.

I'm just glad he's moved out of the Bhatt camp, personally. He can finally be an actor.

Except for trashy mainstream comment, I overall agree with his viewpoints. Profit is indeed the most important factor and a much bigger success than the so called '100cr club' which barely reach beyond the hit/super hit status nowadays. Why waste so much money when you can do a film for lesser budget and gain more success/profits?

PS. Aisha had many flaws but it's a total guilty pleasure because of Abhay and Abhay-Sonam. I realized Sonam manages to look good with just about every costar. 😆 can't wait for the Sonam-Abhay bits in Raanjhanaa.

yup! Didn't you hear...he was considered for superman before Henry was signed but studio executives thought he wouldn't test well with the fans/audience b/c he's gay and super heroes are suppose to super masculine.🤪 People can be weird sometimes, but whateffs! He's doing awesome on White Collar.

AWWW! they look so hot together...god i love her! Did you know she publically announced that she would never get married until gay marriage was legal...she didn't wanna involve herself into something was unequal or only limited to certain people...that's a huge decision but kudos to her!
