Actress-activist Shabana Azmi has requested superstar
Shah Rukh Khan to work in women-centric movies.

The request has come after Shah Rukh's pledge to have
his leading ladies' name appear before his in the
credits.

"SRK glad you are giving heroines credit above your
title. Please also do a few heroine oriented films in
which you play secondary role to make it more viable,"
Shabana posted on Twitter.

Shah Rukh will soon be seen in director Rohit Shetty's
upcoming movie "Chennai Express" with Deepika
Padukone.

He doesn't even need to do secondary roles in women oriented films. All he needs to do is give interesting roles to women in his films. The length of the role isn't the issue. Even a small role can be multifaceted and interesting. Just don't turn women into sex objects who come on just to do item songs and show skin and be the helpless victim who has to be saved from villains by the big hero.

Sabanaji...and here I thought u were one of the smart ones...The minute Shahrukh does a role in a Heroine oriented movie...it will become Khan oriented movie...its a sad truth...Do u think Vidya would have recieved even half the credit for TDP and Kahaani...if Shahrukh was there...nah...not a chance...

Why are u degrading women...that even a women oriented movie now would need a Khan...Why can't u ask ur husband to write a strong women oriented script...if Vidya could make TDP and Kahaani work ...why can't other actresses do it...didn't Sri make EV work...so why blame Shahrukh for not working in a WO movie...Doesn't he have his own career to look for??

One of the best part of being a SRK heroine is that actresses get a substantial role in 90% of his movies...unlike the flowerpot roles that other stars' movies have...
